In 2007, dismembered human remains were found in a burnt-up black bag on the side of the road in Georgia. Seventeen years later, the remains were identified as 24-year-old Nicole Alston. For years, her disappearance remained a mystery. All until now. Angel Thompson, Alston’s girlfriend, is not only accused of killing the 24-year-old but also of assuming her identity and posing as her for over a decade.
Why did she do it, and why are investigators calling on the public’s help?
The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is delving into it all on ‘TSR Investigates.’
More Details On The Disappearance & Identification Of Nicole Alston
According to Carter, Angel Thompson convinced Nicole Alston, who was born with dyslexia, to relocate with her from New York to Atlanta, Georgia. Then, ten days before she went missing, Nicole’s mother, Sylvia Alston, received a phone call from her. Per DA Fani Willis, Nicole alleged to her mother that Thompson had become abusive toward her. Per Carter, that was the last phone call Sylvia received from Nicole.
That phone call was made in November 2007. Then, the following month, the black bag was discovered. Furthermore, the body inside was found without a head, hands, or feet.
“They found 13 pieces of her body. But they were not able to identify her… because until this day, we still have not been able to find her hands, her feet, or her head,” DA Fani Willis recently told the press.
In 2023, the case was sent for DNA analysis, and the body was revealed to be Nicole’s.
