Gunmen kill student and two others in fresh attack in Plateau state

Three persons, including a Bokkos University student were on Thursday night killed in a fresh attack on Butura community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

An eyewitness, George Lazarus told Daily Trust that a 200-level student of Computer Science development, was among those killed.

It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the community at about 9pm and started shooting continuously. Eyewitnesses told the publication that the killing of the student prompted a protest by students who were subsequently dispersed by personnel of Operation Safe maintaining peace in the area.

Last Sunday, a similar attack was launched on two communities in Mangu and Bokkos LGAs where three people were killed.
