Prince Harry held Meghan's hand as he led her into the lavish James Bond-themed birthday party on Saturday night - but pictures of them with Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian inside were posted online and then deleted

The furore over deleted pictures of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry inside Kris Jenner’s party has allegedly upset the Kardashians and ‘won’t be easily forgiven’ in Hollywood, it was claimed today.

Candid photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex cosying up to the birthday girl – and Harry sashaying towards her on the dancefloor on Saturday night in Beverly Hills.

But hours later they were all mysteriously ‘scrubbed’ from social media by Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian, who had shared them with their millions of Instagram followers.

People Magazine, the Sussexes’ preferred publication in the US, has claimed that Meghan and Harry asked that no photographs of them inside the James Bond-themed party were published.

A source close to the Kardashian camp has said they are baffled and angry, given the Sussexes were happy to be pictured inside the Baby2Baby Gala hours before the bash, where they posed with friend Serena Williams.

Another Daily Mail source in LA has confirmed that Harry and Meghan are believed to have ticked ‘no’ on a photo consent form before attending the ball thrown for Jenner by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez at their $165million estate in Beverly Hills.

Ms Jenner’s Instagram post-party round-up showed a series of pictures of her with the couple. Her daughter, Kim Kardashian, shared a photo of herself posing with Meghan. But these were later deleted, reportedly due to the Sussexes’ consent form.

A California-based source told the Daily Mail today that Ms Kardashian is fuming. Another expert said that Harry and Meghan have risked losing support from Hollywood A-listers that they ‘need now more than ever’.

‘Kim was like “you’ve already been papped outside and you were at the Baby2Baby event the same night being photographed like Meghan Trainor and Paris Hilton so what’s the problem?”‘ the Mail’s source said, adding: ‘Kim is pi**ed off’.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for the Sussexes, Ms Kardashian and Ms Jenner.

Former executive editor of the American edition of OK! magazine, Rob Shuter, who also acted as a publicist for Britney Spears and J-Lo, said Jenner and Kim view the request to delete pictures as a ‘snub’.

‘You cannot ghost the Kardashians,’ one LA source told him.

Another insider added: ‘Kim doesn’t do take-backs. If you show up to a Kardashian production, you’re part of the machine.

‘Meghan’s made another Hollywood enemy. And unlike royals, Kardashians don’t forgive easily.’

Brand expert Nick Ede said their appearance at the party was all about buttering up Bezos, whose production company is making a movie in which Meghan is starring, but they upset the Jenner-Kardashians in the process.

He claims Harry and Meghan are conflicted because a friendship with the billionaire ‘goes against the narrative of environmental support and mental health’.

He added: ‘Meghan and Harry have a problem with admitting they are now part of Hollywood society which is what she wanted and they cannot on one hand use their star power for good, like going to charity events, and on the other hand demand they are erased from events they don’t want to be seen to support.

‘That behaviour will backfire on them and they need Hollywood support now more than ever’.

Despite the images being deleted, the pictures of Harry and Meghan are being shared on social media and were published by several websites in the United States.

Harry looked particularly happy in one photo, putting his arm around Ms Jenner, who was standing between him and his wife, with the prince leaning in to bring his face closer to hers.

Meghan looked far more serious, with her hand on Ms Jenner’s shoulder.

The former Suits star smiled, but not as widely as her British husband, who in another deleted image appeared to be giddy and shimmying towards their host on the dancefloor.

The duchess is seen laughing with her hand resting on Ms Jenner’s shoulder.

Photos of the Sussexes with the birthday girl were posted on Instagram by both Ms Jenner and Ms Kardashian but later deleted, it emerged on Tuesday.

However, photos of Ms Jenner with Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Mark Zuckerberg, Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey and hosts Bezos and Ms Sanchez remain on her social media.

Royal watchers have questioned why the images were ‘scrubbed’, branding it ‘weird’.

One said: ‘It appears that the pictures of Harry and Meghan have been scrubbed from Kris Jenner and even Kim Kardashian’s Instagrams. Wonder why? You go to an event like that you should expect pictures to be taken. It’s weird’.

Another wrote: ‘You never steal a Kardashian/Jenner’s thunder’.

A third said: ‘The photos were a hot mess. Neither [Harry or Meghan] looked good. the 70-year-old Kris was more fresh-faced than either of them’.

Also among the celebrity guests with Harry and Meghan were Oprah Winfrey, Adele, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Gayle King, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts and Dr Steven Levine, the surgeon who gave Ms Jenner a $100,000 facelift.

One of the deleted images of the Sussexes and Ms Jenner was published by Page Six in the US. Hello! also published some.

Page Six spoke to a royal source that said Harry and Meghan’s decision to attend was ‘so tacky’.

A palace insider who works with the royal family said: ‘It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy’.

They also pointed out that Zuckerberg, with whom the Sussexes allegedly have a tricky relationship, was at the party.

Earlier this year, the couple slammed the billionaire Facebook founder’s company Meta for ‘contributing to a global mental health crisis’ when it scrapped fact-checking and free speech restrictions.

Ms Jenner looked the ultimate Bond girl as she brandished a pistol at the 007-themed party.

The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch partied the night away with her A-list friends in a glamorous red gown.

In one photo, she beamed as she leaned against her longtime partner, Corey Gamble, 45, who posed with a cigar in his mouth.

‘Magical night celebrating my 70th birthday with beautiful family and friends,’ the reality TV star wrote alongside her post, which she shared on Sunday.

The entrepreneur, who celebrated turning 60 with a party inspired by The Great Gatsby, is said to have opted for 007 this year as a play on the number 70.

Royal author Tom Bower told the Daily Mail that securing an invitation to Ms Jenner’s birthday bash would have been a ‘big plus’ for Meghan.

But he said, ‘it’s noticeable that Harry is unable to stage the rictus smile which actress Meghan always displays for the cameras’.

He told the Daily Mail: ‘He looks fed up being paraded, one day at a sports match and on another day at a celeb party.

‘Clearly, he is now worried what revenge his brother might one day carry out against himself and his ambitious wife.’

Meghan and Harry attended the glitzy bash at Bezos’s mansion on Remembrance weekend with the commemorative symbol noticeably missing from her glamorous outfit.

The Duchess of Sussex did not wear a poppy to the party because they are not widely available in America, unlike in Commonwealth countries, sources close to Meghan told the Daily Mail.

Harry, meanwhile, had one pinned to his tuxedo, which he obtained after donating to the appeal during his recent visit to Canada, where he met with some of the country’s oldest veterans.

The mother-of-two, 44, has previously been seen wearing a poppy during Remembrance alongside her veteran husband, who served two Army tours in Afghanistan.
