A war plane has crashed in bushland near North Pine Dam at Samsonvale

  • Sole occupant airlifted to hospital 

A pilot has been airlifted to hospital after his plane crashed north of Brisbane.

Emergency responders raced to the scene in bushland near North Pine Dam at Samsonvale shortly before 9am Wednesday following reports an old war plane had crashed.

Emergency crews had to navigate through private property to access the crash site.

They included three fire crews and the Rescue 500 helicopter.

The male pilot aged in his 70s suffered minor injuries and was airlifted Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

‘No other injuries were reported,’ a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told Daily Mail.

Emergency responders remain at the scene.
