An influencer power-couple is facing backlash for not putting a life jacket on their 10-month-old daughter while boating with her on choppy seas during their vacation.
Viral internet sensations Campbell ‘Pookie’ Puckett and her husband Jett sparked controversy after posting a video of her holding little Paloma on a boat without a life vest.
The couple – known for their jet-setting whirl of PDA with 1.5million TikTok followers- was vacationing in Capri, Italy, on Sept 25, sailing off the coast in what appeared to be near the Faraglioni Arch.
Video shows their daughter Paloma nestled in her mother’s lap, sitting near the edge of the rocking boat.
Jett says in the video: ‘Paloma, it took your mother and I almost 30 years to make it to Capri, you made it in just 10 months.’
The video cuts to the family under the arch, where Jett added ‘they say that if you kiss under the arch, you will be together forever,’ before kissing both his wife and daughter on the swaying boat.
The affectionate social media video received almost 350,000 likes and over 1,000 comments, but most were from anxiety-ridden fans concerned for the baby’s safety.

‘It’s giving me so much anxiety that she doesn’t have a life jacket on,’ one nervous commenter wrote.
‘The baby squirming out of the mom’s arms while the water is choppy and the boat is on an angle is scaring me,’ another read.
Hundreds of commenters expressed their outrage for the influencer couple’s lack of safety, calling it ‘wild’ and ‘unbelievable.’
While there is no international law requiring children to wear life vests, the US Federal Law requires children under 13 years to wear a lifejacket.
The International Maritime Organization mandates ships to carry ‘appropriate life-saving appliances’ including lifeboats, lifebuoys, life-jackets, as per the SOLAS Convention.
Some fans defended the lavish couple, calling concerned commenters ‘dramatic’ and ‘sensitive’.
‘All of a sudden everyone’s a lifeguard,’ one person wrote.
Some even joked about the boat stunt, one comment read: ‘Yall calm down I’m sure her Hermes life jacket went right back on after filming lmao.’
This referred to the outfit the Atlanta-based couple brought their newborn home in back in November.
