Mehtap Karakuş and her fiancé Uğurcan Boz, who are the co-founders of Instagram page Wearearada, celebrated their engagement with an extravagant fairytale themed party

A popular content creator has celebrated her engagement with an extravagant fairytale themed party.

Mehtap Karakuş and her fiancé Uğurcan Boz, who are the co-founders of Instagram page Wearearada, hosted a lavish party in Turkey to celebrate their union.

The glamorous event, which was planned in two months, took place at Mehtap’s grandfather’s farmhouse, and it proved to be the perfect backdrop with greenery, flowers, and a stunning mountain view.

Mehtap looked glamorous in a long pink dress and a floral crown, which her mother wore at her own wedding, as she danced with her groom-to-be on her special day.

In the background of her photo was a huge castle while two other images saw her posing with Shrek and Cinderella.

However, Mehtap has admitted that some surprising details in the photos left many of her social media followers stunned.

‘Some of those details weren’t real at all! Since all of my content is created with AI, I thought my followers would recognise it. But many people got confused and couldn’t tell what was real and what wasn’t,’ she told Daily Mail.

‘I guess this time my images looked a little too realistic… I have to admit that!

‘The castle, the Cinderella staircase, and Shrek were all digital additions. In reality, the dance photo was just taken in our garden, but I placed us in front of a castle to make it feel like a royal ball.’

She continued: ‘Beyond that, the theme itself was real — I truly wanted it to feel like a fairytale.’

Mehtap also revealed the unique touches she incorporated into her special day.

‘The dessert table was decorated with natural wood, silver plates, silver candlesticks, and a lace cloth my mother had embroidered when she was young,’ she explained.

‘The engagement rings were tied together with a ribbon and placed on a wooden tray adorned with fresh green leaves, following our tradition where a family elder cuts the ribbon during the ceremony as a blessing.

‘I also added two little squirrels holding a hazelnut to represent me and my fiancé.’

She said she has always had an interest in fairytales and uses her social media page to ‘keep my imagination awake’.

‘If I’m always making fairytales, why not become the heroine myself for once? The idea of people seeing me as a ‘real princess’ behind the scenes of the stories I create felt magical,’ she admitted.

Mehtap said guests were encouraged to wear spring colours, ‘but absolutely no black’ was allowed.

‘Traditionally, brides wear white at engagement ceremonies, but since I chose pink, many of the guests wore white instead,’ she explained.

‘It’s hard to coordinate everyone’s outfits, so I preferred to keep it simple and not overly strict.’
