We finally have a release date for Inventing Anna, and we can confirm that the limited series will be released on Netflix sometime in February 2022! Inventing Anna is definitely one of the best Netflix shows coming to the streamer in 2022. We can hardly contain our excitement!
Ozark star Julia Garner leads the Inventing Anna cast as Anna Delvey, with Veep‘s Anna Chlumsky playing Vivian, the reporter investigating the case of Anna Delvey. The supporting cast includes Katie Lowes, Laverne Cox, Anna Deavere Smith, Jeff Perry, Alexis Floyd, Arian Moayed, Anders Holm, Terry Kinney, Kate Burton, and Jennifer Esposito.
The drama series is based on the 2018 New York article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler. The upcoming Netflix original series tells the bizarre story of Anna Delvey (whose real name is Anna Sorokin), a woman who managed to fool some of the wealthiest New York socialites into believing that she was a German heiress. Between 2013 and 2017, Anna was able to defraud banks, hotels, and wealthy acquaintances out of large sums of money. Eventually, Anna’s lies and deceit caught up with her.
Inventing Anna will be the first show Shonda Rhimes has written for Netflix since her 2017 exclusive multi-year development deal with Netflix. There’s so much hype surrounding this miniseries and people are anxious for its release. So when is the drama series coming to Netflix?
Inventing Anna release date
According to Variety, the limited series will land on Netflix in February 2022. An exact release date was not announced, but we should expect an announcement at a later time. Our best guess is that Netflix will announce the official release date by the end of 2021.
It looks like we’ll be starting 2022 with a lot of new Netflix content. We have the first half of Ozark season 4 coming in January, Love is Blind season 2 coming in February, possibly Stranger Things season 4 in February, and now Inventing Anna. And these aren’t the only Netflix new releases coming out at the top of the year. There’s so much more!
