Iran Busted Again for Bogus Claims About US Warships – RedState

The Iranian regime is a bit like Democrats. They have such a grandiose view of themselves that in no way matches their capability, or the results they deliver (or truly don’t deliver).

They have even claimed to be a “superpower” like the U.S., which is pretty hard to back up after your Navy has been left at the bottom of the ocean, and all you are left with in the way of “ships” are some speedboats.

It’s why it’s a challenge to deal with the regime, because they don’t exactly live in reality.

They must have been feeling insecure because they spread another fake story to sound tough on Friday.

A US naval force that had sought to enter the Persian Gulf dispersed after operations by Iran’s navy, Iranian state television reported on Friday, citing satellite imagery from the past 48 hours.

A state TV correspondent said the images showed US vessels that had been heading toward the Persian Gulf had scattered, describing the development as the result of action by the Iranian navy.

Separately, the naval arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said it had instructed commercial vessels carrying essential goods such as fuel and food to notify Iranian authorities before transiting the Strait of Hormuz so their security could be ensured and passage plans arranged after obtaining permission.

What Navy? Do you really think the U.S. Navy is going to be chased off by speed boats?

This was the video “proof” floating around, and it’s hilarious. Notice the fuzzy nature of it, and how whatever is being fired appears to be fired from land (although they’re trying to obscure that with the fuzz).

I also saw this same video a couple of days ago, so no, it wasn’t a depiction of anything that happened on Friday.

On top of that, CENTCOM decimated the regime, saying the claim was false, that the regime did not attack or fire on U.S. warships, that to do so would be a “gross violation of the ceasefire.”

CENTCOM also said as of Thursday that U.S. forces had “redirected 127 commercial vessels, disabled 6 non-compliant ships” as part of the blockade. Iran has not been able to stop the blockade. That’s frustrating the Iranian regime and crushing its economy.

When you’re having to sling such lies about your valorous action that wasn’t, you don’t have a lot in the tank.

Not only that, the U.S. continues to nail sanctioned vessels, like this one that they caught in the Indian Ocean overnight.

Paging the Iranian regime: That’s what a superpower looks like.

Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
