Robert Irwin is at the centre of rumours that he could be heading for The Bachelor.

The single 21-year-old whipped up a frenzy among fans who are keen to see him looking for love on TV.

The Wildlife Warrior was coy when approached by E! News to clear up the chatter.

While he denied that he was signed up for the US version of the dating series, Robert didn’t take the possibility off the table.

‘Stranger things have happened… who knows,’ he said in an Instagram video posted by the network, adding, ‘We’ll see.’

Robert also tellingly joked, ‘You know what? I want to do it even more now!’

It comes after Robert’s staggering salary on Dancing With The Stars US was revealed.

As reported by Variety , each celebrity competing this season has pocketed around US$125,000 ($A188,000) for the rehearsal period and the first two weeks on the show.

Then, if they stay longer, celebrities receive additional weekly bonuses.

In 2019, Variety reported that the maximum amount a celebrity could earn on the show was $US295,000 (A$447,000), while Good Housekeeping claimed earlier this year that the maximum earning could reach USD 360,000 (A$558,000).

Robert’s chances of remaining in the competition appear high – his sultry tango with dance partner Witney Carson wowed the judges this week.

The pair are currently tipped to win the show via Sportsbet, with odds at $2.37.

Last week, Robert whipped his fans into a frenzy with another sizzling performance on the series.

After wowing judges and fans last week with a pulse-raising tango, Robert and his partner Witney Carson, 31, smouldered again on Tuesday night, this time with a hot salsa.

While he denied that he was signed up for the US version of the dating series, Robert didn't take the possibility off the table. 'Stranger things have happened... who knows,' he said

As the pair continued their sizzling routine, Robert dialled up the raunch factor another notch by ripping his shirt off – much to the delight of the roaring crowd.

Robert was not afraid to flaunt his envy-inducing six-pack, and the roars of approval continued until the routine ended.

The performance sent fans and viewers into a frenzy, not unlike Robert’s internet-breaking Bonds underwear campaign earlier this year.

‘I’m sorry to my husband for the way I reacted to this,’ one sheepish fan offered.

Another chimed in with a similar comment: ‘How do I explain the way Robert makes me feel to my wife.’

A third excited viewer offered: ‘Pretty sure people 20 miles away heard me screaming when he took his shirt off.’
