Raul “Cugar” Curiel vs Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez
Jab and move, jab and move. That seems to be the advice given to Raul Curiel from his corner.
He certainly attempts that strategy at the start of this second round.
Both fighters are landing punches but nothing big and heavy as yet.
Oh my. Curiel throw a three punch combo: left, right, uppercut and Rodriguez stands and takes them all.
Rodriguez is over aggression at the end of the round and Curiel lands a counter-right. Good shot, probably enough to clinch the round for him.

Raul “Cugar” Curiel vs Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez
This fight is a WBA eliminator. Both fighters receive their instructions ahead of the first bell.
Raul Curiel keeps his head down and is focused already. The bell rings and he steps forward to try and take control early on.
A few jabs from Rodriguez keeps him on his toes though. Curiel throws a couple of body shots, Rodriguez leads with his jab.
Rodriguez gets in close and lands a right to the body, Curiel is taking the shots and responding with some glancing hits of his own.
A decent opening round, too close to call.

Raul “Cugar” Curiel vs Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez
Next up Mexico’s Raul Curiel takes on Uruguay’s Victor Rodriguez.
Rodriguez comes out first and looks composed. A slight raise of the first to acknowledge the fans as he approaches the ring.
Curiel strides out to the ring wearing a sombrero. He seems more relaxed about the fight to come but the match ups on Jake Paul’s undercards tend to be close affairs.
Let’s see how this one goes.

Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr
Two of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s last three fights have been against ex-UFC fighters.
In 2021 he lost to 46-year-old Anderson Silva which was a low point of his recent career.
He’s only fought three times since then and may come into tonight’s headline event a little undercooked.

“This is not Mike Tyson. You [Jake] are going to get your ass whooped.
“Julio is going to go in throwing some serious punches, and you’re going to be running like a chicken without a head.”
