On Wednesday, a sniper opened fire on an ICE field office building in Dallas, hitting a van and three detainees. One detainee was killed, and the others were in critical condition. The suspected shooter, Joshua Jahn, was found on a nearby roof, dead of a self-inflicted wound.
Vice President JD Vance condemned the attack and called out the political rhetoric against law enforcement. He specifically called out California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Indeed, Newsom launched a wild rant against ICE the night before the shooting on Stephen Colbert’s show.

Vance also posted on X about how attacks on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop.
The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families. https://t.co/wEN3sqyGyQ

Who could argue with that? Apparently, one of the Obama bros, “Pod Save America”‘s Jon Favreau. As our sister site Twitchy reported, Favreau claimed that Vance’s post was not factual and that Vance was “not a reliable source of information.”
The Vice President is not a reliable source of information.
This is now the fifth or sixth time he’s posted a political take contradicted by facts from his own law enforcement agencies. pic.twitter.com/O0mfLNaoXI

Yet, there wasn’t anything wrong with what Vance said. It was an attack on an ICE facility. Favreau appeared to argue that was somehow wrong because detainees were hit instead. What a bizarre effort to dismiss and deflect from what Vance was saying (and not to address the problem of the left’s demonizing of law enforcement). This is where Democrats are at now.
But if it wasn’t already clear, then Vance dropped Favreau with a little reality, noting the “anti-ICE messaging” on the bullets that authorities found after the attack. (Profanity alert🙂
The gunman had anti-ICE messaging carved on the bullets he used. What, precisely, did I get wrong, dipshit? https://t.co/XRtFm4vdVB

“What, precisely, did I get wrong, dips**t?” Vance replied. He was absolutely correct on the facts.
Favreau failed to deal with the real issue of dialing back the rhetoric and truly addressing why they should not be demonizing law enforcement. Democrats are still just trying to slam the Trump administration, instead of realizing that the anti-ICE sentiment may have not only resulted in an attack on ICE, but also hurt detainees as well, with one dying as a result.

Vance is right. The Democrats need an intervention. At this point, they’re so lost and wrapped up in their narratives that they don’t even want to accept reality.
Editor’s Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
