Masked thieves ram-raided a jewellers in broad daylight with a suspected stolen Mini Cooper before loading up the car with high-valued goods.
Shocking footage posted on social media shows the red vehicle with its front numberplates missing being repeatedly reversed into the front of Brooklands Jewellers, in West Byfleet, Surrey.
Horrified bystanders look on as the car knocks over an advertising board before driving back into the road in front of oncoming cars.
It then repeatedly reverses into the storefront until the window shatters and causing the display items to come crashing to the floor.
A hooded masked man wearing yellow gloves is then seen bursting out of the rear door of the car and sprinting towards the store during the raid at 1.15pm yesterday.
He crouches at the front of the jewellers and reaches underneath the damaged window and grabs some boxed items before loading them into the Mini. The the car then speeds off.
The car was later found crashed in a hedge at Heathervale Recreation Ground a mile away from the jewellers.
Police later arrested a man on suspicion of burglary and he was taken to hospital for treatment after he suffered injuries to his arm during a police chase.
