Jigawa police arrest two suspects for threatening to kidnap a businessman and his family

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers for threatening to kidnap a 52-year-old businessman and his family members if he does not give them money.

 

 

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, May 25, 2024, said the suspects, Ahmed Audu and Adebayo Abayomi, confessed to the crime.

 

“On 16/05/24 at about 1100hrs, one Dauda Adamu ‘m’ 52yrs of Zadau village B/Kudu LGA reported at B/Kudu Division that, unknown persons called him on the phone with GSM No. 07041160745 and threatened him to give them money or else the risk of being kidnapped together with his family,” the statement read.
