After being checked for a concussion earlier in the game, Josh Allen appeared to suffer a knee injury before returning in the second quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ wild-card playoff matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The NFL’s reigning MVP hobbled to the sideline after scoring Buffalo’s first touchdown of the day. Allen just barely broke into the end zone before stumbling over a lineman’s leg and crashing down onto the Jacksonville turf.
He appeared to reach for his knee before hobbling off the field, only to return for Buffalo’s subsequent possession.
Earlier he was checked for a concussion after taking a blow to the head, and he was also seen grabbing his throwing hand after it came down on a teammate’s helmet.
Allen entered Sunday with a right foot issue he’s been dealing with for several weeks.
