Katie Price has laid bare the ’16 years of hell’ she’s suffered since her divorce from ex-husband Peter Andre, as she admitted she was ‘glad that the truth is now coming out’.

Tensions between the former glamour model, 47, and the Mysterious Girl singer, 52, exploded last month, following the launch of their daughter Princess’ new reality show.

While disturbing footage from the former couple’s own reality series from the noughties began to circulate online, causing fans to question Peter’s ‘saintly’ image.

And now Katie has spoken out about their marriage alongside BFF Kerry Katona during the opening night of their tour show, An Evening with Katie and Kerry.

The two long-standing pals appeared on stage at Marine Hall in Fleetwood on Saturday night, where they regaled the audience with stories about their friendship, families and failed marriages.

And Kerry, 45, wasted no time in bringing up Peter, as she jokingly apologised for setting him up with Katie when the three stars appeared together on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.

Katie then went on to explain how Peter already had a management team when they left the jungle – summing up their relationship by quoting Princess Diana’s immortal line about her relationship with King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

According to The Mirror, she said: ‘Well, he had a manager. When I came out, because I wanted to be with Pete and Pete wanted to be with me, I needed to be careful how I word things now…’ causing Kerry to cheekily cut in: ‘I’ll say it!’

Katie continued: ‘[Peter’s manager] ended up managing me and Pete and… There were three of us in the marriage.’

The mother-of-five insisted that she had ‘good memories’ from their romance, but that she had suffered since the split, before referencing the recent changes in public opinion.

She said: ‘There are memories. They were very good memories. I’ve suffered 16 years cause of it, from when I split up I’ve had 16 years of hell.

‘But I’m glad now that the truth is coming out on social media and people are seeing.’

Representatives for Peter declined to comment when approached by Daily Mail.

After their toxic long-running feud was dragged back into the spotlight, Peter finally addressed questions about his ‘saintly’ image last week.

Daily Mail recently revealed how his team had painted him as a ‘saint who had put up with Katie for far too long’ following their split in 2009.

However, disturbing footage from their noughties series is being posted online – with social commentators accusing him of being ‘manipulative’ and ‘narcissistic’.

Scenes from the pair’s ITV show also reveal Peter mocking his ex-wife as well as blaming her for domestic mishaps.

In a clip that could be deemed the most shocking from the couple’s marriage, a furious Peter launches a vile tirade of insults at Katie.

The clip, which appears to have been filmed during their trip to the US, he declares: ‘You’re a f*****g idiot, I hope you learn a lesson and come down a peg or two because you’re too far up your own a*se.

‘You’re too up your own a*se, you’re a f*****g arrogant b***h, I’m not having her talk to me like that in front of anyone. F*****g idiot, stupid arrogant little f*****g cow.’

He can also be seen appearing to make ableist comments towards his disabled former stepson Harvey in resurfaced footage.

The clip shows Peter likening him to the wheelchair-bound character Andy played by Matt Lucas who had the catchphrase, ‘I want that one’ on the then-popular but now increasingly controversial comedy show Little Britain.

Harvey is seen being asked to mimick the catchphrase from the sketch in an apparent joke about his multiple disabilities.

Peter then bursts into laughter when Harvey, who suffers from the early brain development disorder septo-optic dysplasia and the genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome, mumbles the phrase back at him.

The media personality has claimed the clips were selective and denied being disablist.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, he defended his past actions, but refused to answer questions about ex Katie.

He said: ‘Well, look, nobody’s perfect. No-one’s perfect in this world. Everyone makes mistakes. But you get the measure of me by meeting me.’

Peter continued: ‘You’ll either think I’m too talkative and annoying, or you’ll think, “he’s alright, he’s harmless”.

‘But over a period of time you build a picture of someone, it’s about consistency.’

While earlier his month, the singer also accused Katie of ‘peddling baseless lies’ after she claimed their children Junior and Princess lived equally between both parents.

In response to Katie’s claims that they have ‘always shared the kids’, Peter insisted that they moved in with him in 2018 ‘for their safety’ as he accused her of falsehoods in an explosive and lengthy statement.

He insisted: ‘In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.’

Daughter Princess has previously hit back at claims she is embroiled in a family feud with her mother amid ongoing tension between her famous parents.

Just days before the launch of the her new ITV2 show, The Princess Diaries, Katie was ‘upset’ after alleging she was banned from filming scenes for the series, which follows a string of recent events, including her daughter’s 18th birthday party, where Katie says she was also not welcome.

But speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, Princess explained any fallout from Katie’s outburst at not being involved in her TV debut will be dealt with behind closed doors, as she insisted: ‘It’s my show, it’s not based on my parents, it’s focused on me. To be honest there’s no rift between me and either of my parents.’

Princess also weighed in on why she doesn’t get involved in Peter and Katie’s public feud following their bitter split 16 years ago.

The influencer admitted it is ‘not worth’ weighing in on their rows. Tensions hit fever pitch recently when Peter released a statement branding his ex-wife a liar after years of ‘staying silent’ for the sake of their children.

However, despite their back and forth, Princess has revealed she won’t be having her own say to either parent because she doesn’t believe it will do any good.

When asked whether she would contact her mum to discuss it, Princess told the Guardian: ‘No, she says, it’s not worth it. Mum can be annoyed about something and then we send each other a message and we’re fine.’

During the same interview, Princess also sweetly claimed she didn’t want to paint her mother in a bad light because she is ‘more stable’ than she has been in years.

Katie has since broken her silence on the drama in the newest episode of her podcast, saying she ‘refuses to be gaslit’.
