Whew, chileeee! Kevin Gates had the internet going in after he recently dropped advice for Desmond Scott amid his divorce from Kristy ‘Sarah’ Scott. Now he has social media popping off again after spilling some of his own tea. The rapper finally addressed his divorce with Dreka Gates, and his comments have folks rethinking everything they thought they knew about their split.

Kevin Gates Speaks On His Split From Dreka Gates & The Internet Is Seated!
Kevin Gates went on a full rant on social media, airing out his divorce from Dreka Gates. He didn’t hold back at all, accusing her of “attacking his image.” He also challenged his estranged wife to “tell the truth” about their alleged Islamic marriage. Kevin also made it real clear that they’ve been separated since 2020.
Things got spicy after that when he went on to call her out for filing for divorce, saying she only did it after he stopped giving her money. Kevin claimed Dreka and her family allegedly stole money from and he continued to hold her down while she was in a new relationship. He also said he was tired of her spreading false information and told her if she’s going to speak on him, she needs to tell the facts. “Tell them the truth […] cause you are a goddess. You’re just a goddess of manipulation and darkness. Tell the truth.”
He didn’t stop there. He doubled down on his money claims, saying Dreka used his cash to open up a dispensary that flopped. Overall, he admitted that he’s tired of the false narratives and done being painted as a deadbeat dad.
“When you do interviews, don’t even bring my name up. Tell them about how you stole my money to go open up a dispensary and it wasn’t even open a month.”
Where Is Dreka In All Of This?
Dreka Gates hasn’t clapped back at Kevin’s rant yet. But before he popped off, she hit him with divorce papers in July 2025 after nearly a decade together. TMZ reported she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. On top of that, she asked for spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of their two children — Islah and Khaza. Dreka reportedly requested that Kevin pay $27, 193 a month in child support and $46, 274 a month in spousal support. At the time, Kevin called Dreka’s claims “factually baseless” and said they never legally married. But TMZ reports that the two actually tied the knot in October 2015.
Kevin’s Love Life Keeps The Internet Talking
Before Kevin addressed his divorce with Dreka, fans immediately clocked him for popping out with Brittany Renner. In March 2025, he had folks wondering where he stood with Dreka while he looked real cozy with Brittany. But their relationship ended up being short-lived. Brittany revealed in an interview that they were married for just 52 days and allegedly divorced in May 2025. By December 2025, Kevin moved on to a new bae, Jelenny Tejada, who he later confirmed is actually his new wife.” Since then, he’s continued to post videos with Jelenny and she’s even been featured in his latest music video, ‘Real N***a Holiday.’
