Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner Sue Ray J For 'Worse...Diddy' Claims

It’s up between Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Ray J on the legal side. The mother-daughter moguls are suing Kimmy’s ex-boyfriend for defamation after his recent livestream comments about them. The R&B singer alleged that he has a federal RICO case against them that would be “worse than Diddy’s.” Unrelated to Kim and Kris, Diddy is days away from being sentenced for two guilty counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the RICO-related charges. Now, Jenner and Kardashian are looking to set the record straight in what they call a “campaign of harassment.”

Kim Kardashian & Kris Jenner Accuse Ray J Of Being Salty Over Failed Romance

Twenty days before her 45th birthday, Kim Kardashian and her mother demand that Ray J face them in a jury trial. According to Rolling Stone, the women are seeking actual and punitive damages in the lawsuit filed on Wednesday (October 1) at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Rolling Stone did not specify whether the lawsuit listed the amount of money the defendants seek.

The 13-page document accuses Ray of fabricating allegations that Kris and Kim are subjects of a federal racketeering investigation. They say the claims are part of Ray’s plans to harass them and disparage their name while at the same time reviving his “fading” relevance.

Paperwork also claims Ray J hasn’t been able to accept the end of his romantic ties to Kim from more than 20 years ago! Instead, he’s been antagonizing her for years, including with music like the 2013 song, ‘I Hit It First.’

“…Ray J has repeatedly sought to attach himself to plaintiffs’ names and exploit their prominence for personal gain,” the lawsuit reads. “Ray J’s defamatory statements about plaintiffs are part of a broader campaign of harassment designed to generate publicity for his flailing career and satisfy his acknowledged animosity toward the Kardashian family.”

While they’re seeking a trial, Kimmy won’t be using her law degree on him! Instead, she and her mother have hired Alex Spiro and Michael Lifrak for their case. “Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian have never brought a defamation claim before nor have they been distracted by noise,” Attorney Spiro says in a statement, “but this false and serious allegation left no choice.”

Here’s What Sparked The Lawsuit

As mentioned, the mother and daughter are suing Ray for defamation for months-long comments this year about them. According to the lawsuit, he started making allegations in May 2025. At the time, he told TMZ that Kim and Kris would be appropriate targets for RICO charges. “If you told me that the Kardashians were being charged for racketeering, I might believe it,” he said in the interview.

Then, on September 24, Ray J doubled down on the RICO suggestions. He claimed he plans to drop a “crazy” case on Kim and Kris. He yapped about “feds…coming” and said he couldn’t do anything about it. Then, Ray took things up another notch by comparing this nonexistent case to Diddy’s.

“Ray J’s defamatory statements were not careless exaggerations but calculated falsehoods – part of a decades-long effort to trade on plaintiffs’ reputations, undermine their businesses, and inflict emotional and reputational harm,” the complaint reads. “Ray J’s conduct represents an egregious abuse of social media and public platforms to weaponize lies about nonexistent criminal investigations while fully aware that such allegations, even when baseless, carry the power to damage plaintiffs’ livelihoods and hard-earned reputations.”
