Kim Kardashian reveals SHE was secret bidder who paid $80k at auction for Bible late dad gave to O.J. Simpson

Kim Kardashian unmasked herself as the anonymous bidder who won an auction on a Bible her late father Robert Kardashian gave as a gift to O.J. Simpson on the latest episode of The Kardashians.

Kim’s shocking revelation came after the Bible sold at auction for an eye-popping $80,000.

The previous episode of the Hulu series featured the 45-year-old reality star’s failed attempts to purchase the Bible outside of an auction of items belonging to Simpson — who died in 2024 at 76 — that was organized by his executor.

But Kim ultimately got the last laugh, as the billionaire was easily able to pay the final sale price, which was more than five times her initial offer of $15,000, and still well above the $30,000 she originally said she was willing to pay.

Simpson’s lawyer subsequently took a swipe at Kim — months after she episode was filmed — for failing to pass the bar exam, even as he was presumably unaware that she still got the Bible after initially being denied.

Kim announced her sneaky move while touring her home with her daughter Chicago, seven, while it was being renovated.

In a confessional interview, she said her son Saint, eight, had previously gone through the under-construction home to write positive messages on exposed beams that would eventually be covered over so that her kids could look back on the home as a happy a positive place. 

And now it was Chicago’s turn to leave some uplifting sentiments around the house.

As they dropped by the kitchen and sat around the breakfast nook, Kim pulled out a thick envelope. Inside was a plastic bag containing her late father’s Bible, which was bound in brown leather.

Kim revealed that she had just received the Bible and hadn’t even had a chance to open it before showing it to Chicago.

‘So if anyone is wondering who won that O.J. Simpson auction, you best believe it’s me,’ she said, both to her confused daughter and the camera crew.

Kim went on to suggest that it was the executor of Simpson’s estate, Malcom LaVergne, who had ‘leaked’ her emails about wanting to bypass the auction to buy the Bible.

While examining the book and flipping through it, Kim made a startling discovery about the Bible’s provenance.

She had been led to believe that her father had purchased the Bible and given it to Simpson with an inscription to the accused murderer and NFL legend.

But once she had it in her hands, Kim realized it was her father’s personal Bible with his name inscribed in gold lettering on the front cover. 

She went on to explain that she was so determined to get the family heirloom after being turned down by LaVergne that she opted to bid on it anonymously.

Kim explained that she feared the price would skyrocket if it was known that she was in the running to buy the item. 

She also came to another unexpected realization about the Bible as she looked through it for the first time.

‘This is not my dad’s writing,’ she said in a bemused voice after spotting notes on the text in unfamiliar handwriting. ‘So it must be O.J.’s.’

Then Kim turned to Chicago and explained with a soft smile: ‘He went to jail. It’s a long story, I’ll tell you when you’re older.’

The shapewear mogul went on to share that she wanted to give the Bible as a gift to her sister Khloé Kardashian, as it was Khloé who had first put the auction on her radar.

Chicago was apparently inspired by the Bible reveal, and she wrote ‘I [heart] you Jesus’ on a beam before the two left. 

Kim went on to concoct another secret plan, this time to surprise Khloé with the Bible at her family’s Easter celebration, which was being held at her sister Kourtney’s home in Palm Springs, event though Kourtney was skipping it to spend the holiday — and her birthday — with her husband, Travis Barker, and their blended family.

Kim explained in a confessional that giving gifts is her ‘love language,’ so she brought along the Bible in her bag after deciding to trick her family into having everyone read from a ‘prayer book,’ at which point she would whip out Khloé’s gift.

Kim added that her sister didn’t know she was the anonymous auction winner, so she was excited to surprise her.

Kim and Khloé were the first of the children to arrive after their mother, Kris Jenner, and the three sat across from each other at a long dining table while employees worked to prepare the house.

Kim tried to seize her moment to surprise Khloé, but her sister nearly ruined the surprised by objecting to having to read from the Bible.

‘You really love to ruin everybody’s vibe,’ complained a clueless Khloé, and Kim called her ‘such a brat’ in a her confessional interview.

But Kim persevered and kept trying to convince a hesitant Kris and Khloé to read a Bible passage, until she finally handed the book to Khloé, who instantly realized what it was. 

She looked shocked and admitted she didn’t know why Kim kept pressing her about reading the passage. 

‘Kim, that was really cute,’ Kris added. ‘I was ready to get into it and didn’t realize [what was going on].’

In her own confessional, Khloé said she had almost ‘nothing’ left over from her father. She said mysteriously that ‘things happened’ after his death that prevented his children from getting many of his belongings.

Kris was clearly touched by the exchange and said that Kim had ‘the biggest heart’ and was the most thoughtful and kind.

She praised her daughter for thinking deeply about what kinds of gifts and gestures her friends and family would most appreciate, which was followed by a montage of Kim’s gift-giving escapades.

‘That’s like my speciality, that’s what I love to do,’ Kim explained. 

When Kim explained that she ‘had to win [the Bible] on an auction,’ Khloé was astounded to learn that she was ‘that person.’ 

‘You think I would let that go?!’ Kim replied.

She asked her mother about the underlining all throughout the Bible, and Kris explained, ‘Your dad underlined everything.’

Shortly afterward, Kylie arrived at the Easter celebration. She wasn’t particularly surprised to learn that Kim had won the Bible auction. 

‘Of course, I knew you won it! I was following the news,’ she said. ‘I didn’t even have to ask, of course she got it.’

Kylie added that she ‘just knew’ that if Kim wanted it, she would get it. 

When Kylie asked if some of the notes in the book were from Robert Kardashian, Khloé joked, ‘No, that’s my other dad’s, O.J.,’ referencing rumors that Simpson had secretly fathered Khloé.

However, he had denied the rumors prior to his death, as did Kris. 

The scene ended with Kris noting that her ex-husband always used to tilt the pages to write because he was left-handed, just like their son Rob Kardashian. 

The episode also featured a passive-aggressive meeting between Kim and Kourtney after she returned from her vacation.

Although the two sisters at first seemed to be getting on well, things turned tense after Kourtney questioned Kim’s decision to take the bar exam and her plans to become a lawyer, which seemed to set Kim’s blood boiling.

Kim had arrived at Kourtney’s home to give her thoughts on some interior design plans, but the visit got off to an awkward start when Kourtney didn’t understand the value and significance of Kim’s birthday gift.

The gift wasn’t shown on camera, but it appeared to be a sketch of Mickey Mouse, which Kourtney thanked her sister for. 

But then Kim realized that Kourtney had no idea that the drawing had been done by the late Michael Jackson, as she couldn’t decipher his signature.

‘I was thinking, “Who is this random artist?”‘ Kourtney admitted without suggesting that that made the gift any more special.

After going over the designs, Kourtney again seemed to be totally disconnected from her family’s lives after Kim mentioned that a recent scan of her brain revealed that she had suffered an aneurysm years earlier.

The revelation, which was featured in the season seven premiere, was news to Kourtney despite having been a major topic among other family members.

Kourtney offered a modicum of compassion when she said she was ‘worried’ about Kim because she had so much on her plate with her four children and her numerous commitments.

The look of concern on her face grew as Kim explained that she was studying nine hours per day for her upcoming bar exam, along with preparing for the Met Gala the following month and her plans to travel the next week to Paris to testify in the trial of the men accused of tying her up and robbing her at gunpoint in 2016.

Kim noted that the men were apparently found because they left fingerprints on a roll of tape, apparently from when they bought it, as she thought they were wearing gloves during the robbery. 

After Kim added that Kris and her friend Simone Harouche would be joining her in Paris for the trial, Kourtney asked if she thought she had been able to ‘work through’ the traumatic events.

‘I think I’m fine,’ Kim said with obvious hesitation. 

But, she added, ‘What choice do I have? I have to be sane.’

Kim said her children had already been through ‘enough’ things to negatively affect them, so she couldn’t afford to show the strain in front of them.

‘You’re doing amazing,’ Kourtney replied somberly, echoing their mother Kris’ iconic, widely memed line from their earlier show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

But the conversation took a nosedive once Kourtney said questioned Kim’s recent life choices.

She prefaced it by saying that she wasn’t trying to criticize her and was just curious, but Kim still bristled when Kourtney described thinking, ‘I wonder why she feels the need to go to law school and do this.’

A defensive Kim replied that she was too close to finishing her legal studies to give up now, and she said she was ‘addicted’ to studying ahead of finishing the program. 

Kim also said that she ‘love[d]’ that her children got to see her go to school.

‘I love educating myself,’ she explained, adding that she wouldn’t feel like herself if she wasn’t trying new things.

In a confessional, Kourtney said she and Kim lived in ‘different worlds,’ but she said she wasn’t going to try to stop her sister from doing something she was passionate about.

The discussion got increasingly testy as multiple notifications rang out from Kim’s phone, which she repeated glanced at while Kourtney was talking.

Their conversation came to an abrupt halt shortly after Kim told Kourtney that she recently learned that someone had allegedly put out a ‘hit’ on her, which Kourtney had — once again — heard nothing about. 

Kim explained that the controversy may have just been a scam, or possibly just the result of a jailhouse conversation, rather than a plan that was put in motion.

But Kourtney’s bewildering response to hearing Kim’s fears about her life being snuffed out was to respond, ‘Wait, have you ever had a date with butter inside and sea salt. It’s a really good snack.’

Kim looked dumbstruck by the snack-based non sequitur.

‘No, but thanks for supporting this deep conversation,’ she replied. 

In a later confessional, a producer asked Kourtney why she interrupted Kim’s story to ask about food.

Kourtney laughed and said the response might have partially been a result of ‘mom brain,’ but she also admitted that she just wasn’t that interested in what Kim had to say.

‘I get so bored talking about everyone and their stuff. I just don’t want to be rude,’ she said, adding that she found it difficult to relate to others as a new mom, so she would just prefer to go home to spend time with her family.

As Kim got up to leave, Kourtney called out: ‘I’ll add you to my prayers.’

‘Thanks,’ Kim replied coldly as she walked out of frame.

While Kim and Kourtney were feuding, Khloé and Kris were running hot and cold.

The two were at first in high spirits after Khloé had booked her mother on her podcast, Khloé In Wonderland, but the chat went south after Khloé revealed that she had been traumatized as a child by her mother’s lovemaking with her then-spouse, Caitlyn Jenner.

”I believe I was under the bed one time when you and your ex-husband were trying [to get pregnant],’ she shared.

Khloé added, ‘I still go to therapy over that,’ though it wasn’t clear if she was serious or just making a joke.

But instead of being sympathetic, Kris turned the tables and blamed Khloé for the gross incident.

‘Yeah, but you snuck into my bedroom,’ Kris countered, to which Khloe replied, ‘I was playing hide and seek and nobody found me, and I fell asleep.’ 

Kris then shot back, ‘You decided to stay there because it sounded exciting and you got an earful.’

Kris added, ‘You being tortured for the rest of your life is exactly what you deserved.’ 

She dug in, claiming that Khloé ‘could have interrupted it at any moment.’

‘It’s all on you now because you stayed,’ Kris added.

In a sweeter moment, Khloé asked her mother how she managed to keep her blended family together and to treat the children from different fathers equally. 

‘When people get divorced, I feel like there’s always a cooling-off period,’ Kris explained.

She said the exes would hopefully settle their differences at the time and emerge focused on raising their children together in a healthy manner, because they couldn’t ever truly disconnect from their family. 

‘When you have kids with somebody, you are with that person,’ Kris said. ‘You’re connected forever.’

By example, she share how she and her ex-husband Robert Kardashian became ‘best friends’ after their cooling-off period.

Kris said that after she and Caitlyn had welcomed their daughters Kendall and Kylie, Robert would spend holidays with them, and would even stop by in the mornings or drop by in the evenings and say, ‘What’s for dinner?’

Khloé was amazed that her father got along so well with his ex and her new spouse. 

Kris told her daughter that she felt a ‘huge shift and a huge responsibility’ after Robert’s death because she still ‘depended on him’ so much. 

‘He was so present in your lives, and such a big part of our day-to-day. He was emotionally available to you guys in such a big way. And emotionally available to me,’ she said as she got misty eyed.

‘He was just the nicest man in the entire world and wanted me to be OK always,’ Kris added.

She revealed that, after her next marriage, Caitlyn — whom she deadnamed — didn’t have much money of her own to cover the family’s expenses.

‘One of the nicest, most lovely things that your dad did was, when I was going through this, your dad used to jokingly harp on me for my Neiman Marcus bill,’ she began.

Kris said that when Robert once asked her if she needed help with anything, she jokingly asked if he could pay her Neiman Marcus card bill that month, to which he replied ‘Sure!’

Kris said the two laughed about it, and recounted him saying, ‘If you would have told me that i would be paying your Neiman Marcus bill all these years later…’

‘We had a good laugh about that,’ Kris said warmly.

Kris was also featured in scenes featuring her daughter Kendall, who revealed she was getting back into equestrian competitions, which she hadn’t done since she was a child.

Kendall was seen in cute flashback video shot by Caitlyn of a Christmas morning when she was surprised with a horse as a gift on their home’s driveway.

The model revealed that she was competing under a false name so as to not attract too much attention, though her mom threatened the ruse by arriving at the competition with the film crew, which naturally attracted fans who recognized her.

One group asked Kris for a selfie, which she said she couldn’t refuse, though she did tell them to make it snappy. 

Kim and Khloé later had a laugh about their mother and her bizarre pattern of allegedly lying about meaningless things.

The sisters were on the phone when they caught Kris lying about having never met the father of the Menendez Brothers, despite having previously claiming that their slain parents used to come over to play tennis with Robert.

Khloé and Kim couldn’t stop laughing at catching their mother in a lie, only to discover that Kris was still on the line.

‘Hang up, mom!’ Khloé shouted after rolling across the sofa in a frenzy. 

In scenes from next week’s episode of The Kardashians, Khloé and Kris appeared to have a Freaky Friday moment, as they were both scene being dressed and made up to look like each other.

Kourtney and Kim also appeared to have more tensions over Kim’s law school hopes. 

After Kim’s computer mysteriously crashed and left a ghostly photo of their father on the screen, her older sister suggested it was a sign that she shouldn’t take the bar exam.

Kim made it clear she was annoyed by Kourtney when she said in an interview that she doesn’t want to spend all of her days at home.

The ex-wife of Kanye West also seemed to be under more stress than ever as she prepared to travel to Paris to testify at trial and to get ready for the Met Gala.

The preview ended on a tense note as Kim vented that her dress for the Met Gala was cut ‘three inches too short,’ and she vowed to skip the event if it ended up looking horrible on her.
