Kogi election tribunal adjourns indefinitely

Kogi state Governorship Tribunal sitting in Lokoja has adjourned its sitting indefinitely pending the inspection of the election materials is complete.

 

The announcement was made on Wednesday, November 29, after the SDP sought for more time to inspect election materials used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the exercise. 

 

The materials being inspected include, Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and result sheets for Adavi, Okene, Okehi, Ogori-Magongo, Ajaokuta, Lokoja, Kogi and Bassa Local Government Areas.

 

Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ado Birnin-Kudu ruled that they will resume sitting after the inspection has been concluded.
