Locals in New York have been ordered to stay indoors after a warehouse fire caused a hazardous vapor cloud to billow into the air.
Emergency crew are currently on the scene of the fire on Woodworth Avenue in Yonkers.
According to CBS News, the fire broke out at a warehouse for a cosmetics firm, with chemicals inside causing a reaction and then a fire.
Police in the city have said the fire involves bleach fumes, making the smoke filled with hazardous toxins.
They also advised that people in the surrounding area should remain indoors until further notice. Vehicles were also asked to avoid the area.
Images taken at the scene show several fire trucks battling the blaze, with smoke seen billowing from the roof.

A statement said: ‘YPD/YFD Operating at the scene of a hazmat situation involving bleach.
‘Woodworth Avenue & Ravine Avenues are closed between Union Place and Ashburton Avenue.
‘People in the highlighted zone are being advised to remain indoors until further notice. Vehicle and Pedestrian traffic are urged to avoid the area.’
In a statement, The City of Yonkers said: ‘There was a chemical release that created a vapor cloud, setting off multiple alarms. It is isolated to one pallet of materials.’
Due to the fire, the Hudson Line service was also suspended between Yonkers and Greystone, the Metro-North Railroad posted on X.
They are asking customers to seek alternative means of transport until they can restore the service.
