She’s known for her sweet vocals and preened appearance. 

But, on Thursday evening, Louise Redknapp cringed over her corkscrew curls in throwbacks from the 1997 BRIT awards 24 years ago.

Taking to Instagram and Twitter, the former Eternal singer, 46, shared snaps of herself on stage at the music awards bash, wearing a nude semi-sheer bodycon dress.

In one shot, Louise was stood next to a babyfaced Gary Barlow clad in a striped green and white polo shirt, while in another she held an award in her hands. 

Although the mum-of-two seems not to have aged at all since the photographs were taken, Louise wasn’t loving her old hairstyle. 

Louise wrote alongside: ‘Throwing it back to the Brit Awards… Please can you all remind me to NEVER wear my hair like this again to the Brits!’ 

But fans were quick to assure the singer that she looked fabulous, and some followers even noted her resemblance to actress Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing.

‘It’s early days for Jamie and Frida, but they have grown close and are really enjoying spending time together when they can.’  

Louise previously credited her divorce with giving her the courage to restart her music career.

Appearing on Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s podcast Spinning Plates, she said: ‘I suppose it took something quite big to happen in my life to think I’ve got nothing more to lose.

‘Like I feel like I’ve lost such a lot anyway that what’s my musical dignity when I’ve lost all of this anyway?

‘It took something sad and big in my life to maybe give me the courage to go, “oh, I’ll just give it a go, what’s the worst that can happen?”‘ 

She added: ‘I’m pleased I did it and I think I learned as well that you can still be a really good mum and it’s okay. I think I told myself for so long that I can’t have it all.

‘You can go away and you can work and you can be out of the house for a period of time without letting your kids down. It’s almost like I felt like you couldn’t have both.

‘I used to think you can only have both if you’re really famous and you’re really big and you’re going on massive tours where all of your family can come. And actually, no, you can.’
