Margot Robbie has turned the Wuthering Heights promotional tour into her own period fashion show and her latest outing bared no exception.

The actress, who stars as Catherine Earnshaw in the Emerald Fennell adaptation, was spotted arriving at BBC Radio Studios on Wednesday to discuss the new movie.

Margot, 35, has been leaning into the Georgian era of the film throughout the press tour and her corset-style top appeared to be another nod to the film’s costume.

The Australian star looked stylish in the floral garment, which she added an edgy twist to with a pair of belt-detail trousers and heeled boots.

Margot was carrying a leather jacket over her arm and sported a pair of chic oval shades, wearing her blonde locks loose.

The screen star’s sartorial choices have been the talk of the tour so far, with Margot opting for several sexy and dramatic looks.

On Monday night, Margot took the fashion world by storm as she wore not one but two looks at the Paris premiere at Le Grand Rex.

Margot and Jacob Elordi, 28, play lovers Catherine and Heathcliff in the new romantic drama film, which is loosely inspired by Emily Bronte’s 1847 novel of the same name.

Taking to the red carpet, Margot once again paid tribute to the film’s Georgian era in a red velvet Chanel gown with a dramatic train, before she changed into a black lace corset minidress.

The corset bodice of the Chanel dress showcased Margot’s cleavage and slender waist whilst the voluminous skirt draped over her frame and revealed a white underlay.

Margot complemented the dress with a choker pendant which was embellished with 100 carats of champagne diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz.

Jacob, meanwhile, looked effortlessly cool in a brown suit and shirt.

In an interview, Margot admitted that she relished the movie’s emotional ‘swings’.

Asked if the romantic scenes demanded different preparation, Margot told People: ‘No different to all the other scenes that we do. The movie kind of demands a lot of all of us.

‘My character essentially cries in every single scene, but no, it was a joy. I loved playing a character who kind of swings from one wild emotion to the other in an instant.’

The new movie is written and directed by Emerald Fennell, and the 40-year-old filmmaker stressed that ‘safety and trust and love’ were uppermost in her mind when she helmed the sex scenes.

Emerald – who directed Jacob in 2023’s Saltburn – shared: ‘It’s always just about making sure everyone feels super comfortable and we all are, really. We trust each other and so we try to kind of make it funny and laugh everything off.

‘But love scenes are just the same as any other scene, really. And so we just approach it from an emotional point of view.’

Emerald also revealed that she relished the experience of working with Margot.

She said: ‘Do you know what? She’s an inspiration. She’s an extraordinary woman.

‘She’s a mother, she’s a producer, she’s an unbelievably talented actress and she also always has time to be generous to the people around her. And so she’s the best.’

While the film doesn’t open until February 13, pre-sales are already strong, hinting at a $30M-$35M domestic opening weekend.

This would make Wuthering Heights the biggest box office opener of Jacob’s career, and Margot’s first hit since 2023’s Barbie.

Notably Barbie, in which Robbie played the titular role and Fennell had a small part in as Midge, had a $150 million budget for marketing alone.

The marketing juggernaut spanned everything from a real life Malibu Barbie DreamHouse Airbnb, so obnoxiously pink it could be seen 10 miles away, to a HGTV (owned by Warner Bros.) airing a full four part Barbie DreamHouse Challenge special – with more than 100 clothing, lifestyle brands cashing in.
