At least four people were injured during a mass shooting during a homecoming event at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
Police responded to calls about the shooting at the college in Chester County at about 9:15 pm on Saturday, ABC reported.
The four confirmed victims all sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to Christina Hospital in various conditions.
The Baltimore Pike roadway has been shut down as investigators probe the scene.
CBS reported that the shooting occurred near the university’s football field during a tailgate.
Chester County Commissioner Eric Roe addressed the situation in a Facebook statement.
‘Please join me in praying for the students and faculty of Lincoln University, as well as the brave members of law enforcement on the scene,’ he wrote.
‘It appears there has been a mass shooting there tonight.’
