Massive Flames Roar Above Tehran in Apocalyptic Scene After IDF Blasts Oil Facilities – RedState

The conflict in Iran rages on Saturday night/Sunday morning as what’s left of the Iranian regime refuses to unconditionally surrender despite Trump’s demand that they do so to end the conflict.

He vows they will face increasingly harsh consequences for holding on, even though the joint Israeli-U.S. airstrikes of Operation Epic Fury have already permanently removed (former) Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei from the face of the earth, along with many of his tyrannical cohorts.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) turned up the pressure with a huge strike that produced images that look like AI, but are most certainly not:

A huge fire was seen in the vicinity of a fuel storage site in Tehran, sending towering plumes of smoke into the night sky.

Dramatic footage from Saturday night shows thick smoke billowing from an area geolocated by CNN to where the Shahran Oil Storage facility is based in northwestern Tehran.

The Israeli military said it struck fuel storage sites in Tehran on Saturday evening. The same oil storage facility was previously struck by Israel in June 2025 during the “12-Day War.”

The flames lit up the sky:

This was the first major hit on Iran’s oil infrastructure in the war.

The IDF confirmed the strikes Saturday, saying the attack “significantly deepens the damage to the military infrastructure of the Iranian terrorist regime.”

Israel and the U.S. continued to pound the defiant Islamic Republic with other attacks as well, as they attempt to end the sadistic, repressive regime that has ruled the country for 47 years. By attacking its oil infrastructure, they hope to weaken its military capabilities to the point where they can’t even function:

U.S. and Israeli forces expanded their bombardment of Iran late Saturday, including with strikes on fuel depots near Tehran, as Iran’s de facto leader vowed to continue retaliatory strikes and to make the nation’s enemies “pay the price” for attacking it.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel said the attacks on fuel depots, which appeared to be the first on Iran’s energy infrastructure since the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran last weekend, were part of Israel’s attempts to reach “many more targets” in order to destabilize Iran’s government and “allow for change.”

The Israeli Air Force also took out 16 aircraft used by the Quds Force, the elite foreign‑operations branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The IAF conducted a wave of precise strikes in Tehran, targeting military infrastructure at Mehrabad Airport, a central hub used by the IRGC to arm and fund its terror proxies across the Middle East. Several Iranian fighter jets were also struck.

Prior to the strikes, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians.

Although Iran remains defiant, it is hard to see how any regime could possibly withstand this relentless drubbing night after night. One can only hope we’re witnessing their dying breaths, and we’ll soon move into a new era.

What that will look like, we’ll have to wait and see.

Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
