Miranda Kerr has broken her silence on her ex-husband Orlando Bloom’s recent split with his fiancée Katy Perry.
Orlando and Katy, who began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019, split in June after nine years together.
Speaking on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Thursday, Miranda confirmed the couple’s split was amicable.
‘Was it mutual?’ host Kyle Sandilands asked.
‘Yes, and I actually just saw them both on the weekend. We were celebrating [their daughter] Daisy’s birthday,’ Miranda revealed.
‘We’re one big, happy family. Katy is amazing, I love her. And Orlando obviously,’ she continued.

Miranda, who happily co-parents her 14-year-old son Flynn with Orlando, went on to say it’s important a split is ‘harmonious’ especially when children are involved.
‘If you do have animosity, it only hurts yourself,’ she added.
Orlando split from pop star Katy Perry in June after nine years together. They have a daughter, Daisy, four, and remain on cordial terms.
A source told Us Weekly at the time: ‘Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,’ while also adding that the separation has been ‘not contentious’ thus far.
‘Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.’
Two days before the split went public, DailyMail.com reported the couple were renting out their $30 million Montecito mansion to Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger.
Katy and Orlando were also said to have been living apart ever since the kickoff of the Lifetimes Tour this April, according to an Us Weekly source.
The duo were first linked when they attended a Golden Globes afterparty together in January 2016, and have been on-and-off in the intervening years.

Early in their romance, they hit the headlines when Orlando was spotted completely naked during a paddle-boarding romp with Katy in Sardinia.
They broke up in 2017 but had reignited their romance by the following year, and on Valentine’s Day 2019, he proposed with what appeared to be a more than 4-carat ring – one thought to be worth $5 million, according to E! News.
In 2020, they welcomed their daughter Daisy, who is Katy’s first child and Orlando’s second, as he also shares his son Flynn, 14, with his ex-wife Miranda.
In June 2021, she and Bloom made their first on-screen appearance together when they collaborated on the short film Transmissions From The Future.
In the film, they played elder citizens from the year 2055, warning people from the past to ‘save democracy while you can’ to raise awareness about the For the People Act, which would expand voting rights in America and change campaign finance laws.
