Rather startling news out of Minneapolis on Tuesday evening: Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) was speaking at a town hall event there when a man approached her and appeared to spray an unknown substance at her while pointing and yelling at her.
Here are two separate angles of the incident:

At the time of the attack, Omar was saying, “Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment.”
As the crowd applauds, the man approaches her from the front. He’s holding something in his right hand as he sprays an unknown substance at her, which appears to catch her on the arm or chest. He’s yelling, and his words are mostly unintelligible, but it sounds like he’s saying, “You must resign or….” He continues yelling and pointing at her as he starts to back away toward the side, and then is grabbed by a man (possibly Omar’s security) and tackled to the ground.
Omar herself advances toward the man, and can be heard calling him a “f—ing a–hole,” while others in the crowd shout, “Whoa, whoa, whoa!”
A woman in the crowd can be heard asking, “What’d he spray you with?” Omar responds, “I don’t know.”
Another man who appears to be security moves toward Omar and is checking her out as she asks for a napkin.
Omar insisted on continuing the event, shouting, “We will continue — these f—ing a—holes are not going to get away with this.”

No word yet on the man’s identity or what it was he sprayed Omar with.
However, in the C-SPAN clip below, one of the other women present states, “Whatever it is smells so bad. She needs to go get checked.” When Omar protests, “That’s what they want,” the same woman says, “It’s not about him, Ilhan. It’s about your safety.”

After some continued discussion, Omar returned to the microphone and said:
“Here is the reality that people like this ugly man don’t understand. We are Minnesota strong, and we will stay resilient in the face of whatever they might throw at us. Everybody, settle down. I’m going to finish my remarks. It is important for me to continue to lead my Democratic colleagues in demanding her resignation.”
As she was making those last remarks, the man was being hustled out of the room.
