NICU Nurse Accused Of Breaking Babies' Bones

Erin Strotman, a Virginia NICU nurse, has been accused of purposely breaking the bones of several babies hospitalized at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.

At least seven children were affected, with one allegedly experiencing 12 bones being fractured.

Strotman has since been taken into custody. But was there more that the hospital and CPS could have done to protect these babies and their families?

Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is gathering answers on ‘TSR Investigates.

More Details On The Alleged Actions Of The Virginia NICU Nurse Accused Of Breaking Babies’ Bones

According to Carter, seven babies experienced fractured bones at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital over the course of a year. The pattern reportedly began being noticed in 2023. At the time, Dominique Hackey, a father of twin boys hospitalized at the facility, came forward after noticing one of his infants with an “unexplainable tibia fracture.”

Per Hackey, a week after his twins were born, his wife was allegedly told she could not hold their twin son Noah. Despite this instruction, Hackey and his wife did not notice anything peculiar. Ultimately, the couple assumed the hospital’s instruction was due to their twins being born prematurely.

Subsequently, the couple was informed that X-rays had been performed on Noah. The results determined he had experienced a fractured tibia.

More Details On Erin Strotman’s Case

Subsequently, Henrico police opened up an investigation into Noah’s injury. Per Hackney, the department ultimately closed the case despite asserting that their son appeared to have been a victim of child abuse.

Months later, CPS asserted that Noah’s case presented “serious” harm had been done or intended against the infant. Despite this, authorities were unable to identify a culprit until Erin Strotman was taken into custody in December.
