Though it may be expensive for its size, women right across Australia are having great success putting a pea-sized amount on their faces after cleansing both morning and night.

‘I’ve been using this serum on and off for the last three years and I always come back to it. I tried to go without it but now I’m never without a backup,’ one woman wrote.

‘My skin is temperamental and I experience redness. The Osmosis Skincare Rescue Epidermal Repair Serum immediately soothes and calms any redness I have.’

‘I was recommended this a while ago by a skin clinician, and I just keep coming back to it. I keep trying to find dupes or slightly cheaper options, but nothing compares,’ said another.

The brand also sells Purify, an enzyme cleanser, that has gained popularity in recent years for its gentle exfoliating quality that thoroughly cleans the skin without stripping it with acids or foaming agents.

Its Stem Factor Growth Factor Serum and Correct Vitamin A Serum are heavy hitters that are often referred to as the ‘fountain of youth’. They are designed to protect and heal the skin all at once.

Australian model Isabelle Mathers, who lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland, posted a YouTube video on April 12 detailing her ‘skin journey’ and outlining a number of gentle cosmeceutical products that helped heal her skin barrier, with Osmosis included.

‘My skin had been fairly unproblematic my whole life up until December 2020. I went and got a facial from my usual facialist I’d been to for two years and I think they accidentally damaged my skin barrier,’ she explained.

‘They did an exfoliator that was just way too harsh and basically since then I haven’t had the same skin.

‘It was quite challenging because it brought up all these issues I hadn’t had before. So for awhile after I stopped using all products all together. I was so afraid of putting anything on my skin.

‘It would get so inflamed and red. I struggled with these huge fluid bumps all over my cheeks. I’d get heaps of bumps near my eyes, basically it was just so unlike my skin.’

So Isabelle visited a new facialist in her locale that came highly recommended and who ‘changed everything’ for the young woman’s face.

‘She said I had a really mild rosacea as a result of the exfoliating peel I did,’ she said.

She recommended Isabelle start cleansing with Aspect Purastat 5 Cleanser ($65) at night only and leave her skin to breathe first thing in the morning

This was followed by the Osmosis MD Rescue serum ($253), which although is the priciest skincare product in her deck, made the most difference to her skin.

‘This changed my skin. She told me this is what would repair my whole barrier. It has helped so much. My redness is so much less,’ Isabelle said.

Next up in her routine is the Aspect Hydrating Serum ($136), followed by the Aspect Red-less Serum ($136).

‘This has also transformed my skin and made my redness so much less. I love it after a day full of makeup,’ she said.

Her last step is the Osmosis Skincare Infuse Nutrient Activating Mist ($68), unless she’s feeling extra dry and then she’ll also pop on a little bit of the Aspect Super Moisturising Complex ($93).

‘It’s a really thick and nourishing moisturiser,’ she said.

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($28) is the perfect step to cover her lips before bed and she uses the peach iced tea flavour.

‘I put this on before bed and then you’ve got your whole face ready,’ she said.

‘I’ve probably been doing this routine for five months now and it has made such a big difference to my skin.’
