An immersive Peter Pan experience has wowed thousands with its themed cocktails, interactive challenges, and performances by popular characters like Captain Hook and the Lost Boys.

The bar is located in Southbank, Brisbane, and the $40 experience includes a 90-minute journey through Neverland, a welcome drink, and two bespoke cocktails. 

Neverland Bar was designed to show patrons the wonder of the Blue Lagoon, have them climb aboard the Jolly Roger, and hang out at the Lost Boys hideout.

The popup bar is in Brisbane until January 2023 and was designed by the makers of the Alice in Wonderland themed experience. 

Guests need to make a reservation for the experience – and while the standard package is for adults only, family packages are available with non-alcoholic options.

The popup bar also has several specially curated rooms to resemble J. M. Barrie’s classic novel – including Tinker Bell’s hut, the Lost Boys hang out, and Captain Hook’s ship.

The themed cocktails are especially a hit with many complimenting the glittery 'fairy dust'

Thousands have flooded the event’s social media pages with praise and wonder.

‘This bar is straight out of my J. M. Barrie dreams,’ said one woman. ‘It’s exactly the vibe I pictured when I read the books growing up.’

‘I had to book tickets as soon as I saw this,’ added another. 

‘I never thought I would be almost thirty and still holding onto dreams of carting off to Neverland.’

A fourth added, ‘Absolute magical … Themed cocktails are one of my favourite things.’

‘This takes childhood nostalgia to a whole new level.’
