Timeless Ushers in the End of the Age of Heroes
Timeless #1 will tell the story of the rise of the Immortal Moon Knight — created from Stark Tech, the Eternal Machine and the God of the Moon. After ascending to an all-powerful state, Earth is in his control, leaving none other than Power Man to stop him. As the Marvel Universe’s last remaining superhero, Power Man has a tough job ahead of him, and he must draw upon the powers of heroes before him to save the world.
Teasing the iconic character’s introduction in Timeless, Marvel’s description for the one-shot revealed that Power Man will “wield the unstable powers of the Sentry, the Hulk, and the Iron Fist” in his journey to stop the Immortal Moon Knight. Marvel also promises that Timeless will set in motion huge events for the publisher’s comics in the coming year, adding in a press release — “Timeless #1 will [include] the moments that kick off the inevitable chain of events that led to the end of the age of heroes.” Exactly what sagas will spin off from Timeless remains to be seen, but the story promises a “mind-bending apocalypse” with “dark, deeply personal conflict” as Khonsu unleashes chaos over the Marvel Universe.
Timeless #1 and InHyuk Lee’s variant cover will go on sale Dec. 27 through Marvel Comics.
