Protesters storm National Assembly over Kaduna village bombing

Protesters on Wednesday, December 6, invaded the National Assembly building in Abuja, to protest the killing of several innocent citizens by a military drone that bombed them on Sunday, December 3.

The protesters surrounded the National Assembly entry gate with banners, demanding justice for the bombing victims and putting pressure on the Minister of Defense Abubakar Badaru to fulfill his obligations or step down.

Recall that over 120 civilians who were celebrating Maulud in the village of Tudun Biri in Rigasa District of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State were killed when a drone of the Nigerian Army bombed them. Over 60 were also injured in the attack.

Addressing journalists, the leader of the protesters, under the aegis of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) North West Zone, and Arewa Youth Movement, Nasir Ishaku, demanded justice for the victims.

He declared it intolerable and said innocent Nigerians could no longer be killed daily, particularly in the northern part of the country.
