Restraining Order Alleges Doja Cat Was Abused By Her Brother

Raman Dalithando Dlamini, brother to Doja Cat, is being accused of physically and verbally abusing the rapper. According to TMZ, the siblings’ mother has filed a restraining order against her son.

More Details Regarding Abuse Allegations Against Doja Cat’s Brother

According to the outlet, the outlet obtained new legal documents filed by Doja Cat’s mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer. Page Six adds that the filing was made on January 12 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Sawyer reportedly filed for a temporary restraining order against her son.

In the filing, Sawyer alleges that Dlamini has knocked out Doja Cat’s teeth and given the rapper “cuts and bruises.” Additionally, the mother accuses her son of destroying and stealing some of his sister’s property.

In addition to the physical abuse, Sawyer has also alleged that Dlamini is verbally abusive to his sister.

“In a very degrading and demeaning manor… [Raman has made Doja feel] unsafe and traumatized,” the filing reportedly reads, per TMZ.

Outside of the alleged abuse toward Doja, Sawyer says that her son has also physically abused and threatened her. According to Sawyer, the incidents  have occurred “multiple times over the past year.”

Additionally, the mother alleges an incident occurred as recently as the 10th of this month, per Daily Mail.

TMZ reports that a judge has granted Sawyer “court-ordered protection” from her son. However, a hearing is set to take place to determine a permanent restraining order for the mother.

Despite Sawyer’s allegations, the court-ordered protection she was granted does not also protect Doja Cat from Dlamini. The judge reportedly decided that the rapper would have to file her own request for a restraining order.

The outlet notes that this is not the first time Sawyer has placed a restraining order on her son.

Doja Cat Has Yet To Publicly Address The Allegations

Since her mother’s filing on January 12, Doja Cat has seemingly remained active on Instagram. Earlier this week, she took to the platform to reveal that she will be headlining at this year’s Coachella.

Since then, she’s also returned to the platform to share a selfie with a smiley face caption.

However, at this time, Doja Cat has not addressed the reports of her brother’s abuse.
