Retired weatherman Mike Bailey is in a coma after ‘suffering a stroke’
Retired ABC weatherman Mikey Bailey is in a coma after a medical incident in his home last week.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the 71-year-old ‘is believed to have suffered a stroke’ in the home he shares with wife Helena.
Bailey is currently being taken care of in Sydney Hospital and is said to be surrounded by family members.

He’s best known as the former longtime weather presenter of the ABC Sydney edition of the 7.00pm news bulletin.
Bailey also covered weather news on ABC Radio and worked as a lecturer in radio journalism at Macleay College in Sydney.
He started as a cadet journalist at the ABC in 1968, then left the network in 1972 for a 13-year stint at Channel Seven.
After that, he returned to the ABC in 1985 as weather presenter.
In 2007, he retired from the ABC and briefly attempted to launch a career in politics with the Labor Party.
His attempt to unseat Liberal Joe Hockey in the Federal Election was unsuccessful.
He later returned to television once again to present the weather for Channel Nine News until he was let go in 2009.
In recent years, Mike has worked as a celebrity speaker.
Mike married wife Helena, who is a former Channel Seven presenter, in 1986. They have one child together, a son named Michael.
