In the runoff election to decide the Republican nominee for Georgia’s governor, healthcare executive and Trump campaign donor Rick Jackson faced Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones in Tuesday’s contest. With 85 percent of precincts reporting, Decision Desk HQ has projected that Jackson has defeated Jones, 53 to 46. Jones was endorsed by both President Donald Trump and GA Gov. Brian Kemp, but this double endorsement did not appear to move the needle in Jones’ direction.

Jackson, a billionaire, self-funded his campaign by pouring $50 million into his own coffers. While not giving a direct endorsement, Donald Trump Jr. took to X to applaud Jackson’s entrepreneurship and quick thinking in saving America’s amoxicillin supply. Trump Jr. asserted that no matter who won, America First and MAGA would be well represented.

Regardless of what happens in the Georgia Governor’s race tomorrow, we should be celebrate the patriots building up MAGA and an America First economy like @RickJacksonGA has. When China threatened our amoxicillin supply — Rick saved the last amoxicillin manufacturing facility in America because he knows we can’t let China control our entire supply of anti-biotics. When the U.S. faced an oil refining shortage and the woke banks wouldn’t finance a new one — Rick stepped up again and became the largest outside investor.
This has been a hard-fought race with a lot of mudslinging, but I know Rick Jackson to be a good man – and that counts for a lot.
Early Tuesday evening, Jones held a narrow lead over Jackson, but Jackson quickly closed the gap, edging Jones out by seven points.
Jackson faces former Mayor of Atlanta Keisha Lance Bottoms in November.
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
