This means turnout in one of Nevada’s reddest counties was sky-high compared to other places.
Will add a few thousand votes to GOP statewide leads.

The ballots were never lost, but media vote counters were not aware they were outstanding until the last few hours. This is another boost for republicans in Nevada.
Republican-heavy Douglas County has at least 6,000 mail ballots still to be counted which should add at least 2,000 to Laxalt’s lead. And we received word that 626 more mail ballots arrived today, as Nevada allows receipt of ballots that were postmarked on election day. Saturday is the cutoff for mail ballots.
Good news for Laxalt…
Spoke to Douglas County Clerk’s office this morning, who said they have about 6,000-7,000 mail ballots left to process at this point, with some still trickling in.
So still some decent-sized chunks remaining in some of the rural counties. Margins will matter in these big races.

626 Mafia votes arrived today…
**Correction: Gloria said 626 mail ballots were received today from postal service.

More rural votes will boost Laxalt…
Our numbers man has the latest:.
There are an estimated 14-15,000 votes left in the rurals, which will give Laxalt a boost in the Senate race of anywhere from 3-5,000 votes, depending on margins.
That would mean CCM needs to get 60% or so of urban ballots. 55% might be enough.

Laxalt remains very confident…
Clark County Clerk just reported there are just over 50K ballots left. This number includes Election Day drop off. We know there are rural and Washoe votes to be counted. Assuming these two at least offset, then Cortez Masto needs 63.5% to catch us. We remain very confident.

Last night went exactly as we anticipated. We added 3K from the rurals and more are coming. She added some Clark County mail. We expect the remaining mail universe to fall well below the percentage she needs to catch us. No status change.
