Sheriff Grady Judd tells hurricane victims to shoot looters until they look ‘like grated cheese’ – twitchy.com

We did a post earlier this month about a Twitter rando who wanted to know why Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was “threatening violence in the midst of hurricane aftermath.” DeSantis was making a threat but giving a warning, letting would-be looters know that Florida was a Second Amendment state and that “you never know what may be lurking” behind someone’s front door.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid compared DeSantis to an alleged segregationist who said “When the looting starts, the shooting starts” — she had to reach all the way back to 1967 for that one. Was Reid suggesting that all looters were black and all gun owners were white?

We’ve done plenty of posts on Florida Sheriff Grady Judd — he’s the one who brought out photos to explain to the press what a “riot” was compared to a protest, in case they didn’t understand Florida’s new anti-rioting legislation. Judd appeared on “Fox & Friends” Friday and encouraged the shooting of looters:

Fox News quotes Judd as saying:

I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home, comes into your home while you’re there to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you shoot him, you shoot him so that he looks like grated cheese. Because you know what? That’s one looter that won’t break into anyone else’s home and take advantage of them when they’re the most vulnerable and the most weak.

That’s a great point.

Either one is good.

Judd is a legend. We’d say DeSantis/Judd 2024, but we wouldn’t want Florida to lose their best sheriff.
