Skin, the lead singer of Skunk Anansie is happily married to writer and nightlife personality Lady Rayne Baron, (also known as Ladyfag).
The couple have a daughter together called Lev, born in 2021 – and love to share pictures of their happy life together on social media.
Skin, real name Deborah Ann Dyer, 58, first broke their baby news that year when she revealed: ‘We’re going to be moms and we’re very excited.’
She told OK! magazine at the time: ‘It’s exciting and I’m trying to get as much done as I can, as once the baby comes I won’t be doing anything else for a while.
‘It’s weird, I didn’t think that at my age and in my life it would happen. It’s very exciting.’

Skin said: ‘Kids love me because I’m silly. I’m excited about dressing up a little baby in ridiculous clothes while we can!’ (her partner and daughter pictured together)
Talking about her family plans, she said when her partner was pregnant: ‘I never wanted to have a baby myself, in my own body. But I love that someone else is going to do it.

Skin and Rayne got engaged in lockdown and the family divide their time between New York City and north-east London.
The musician let the news slip that they would become parents when she was speaking about the difficulties couples have faced in lockdown.
Skin told the Elevenses with Danielle Perry podcast: ‘Lockdown has been a real test of a relationship.
‘A lot of people are like ”Wow, we really didn’t get on and that was the end of that relationship, because I realised in two months of being in lockdown that we’re not the same people.”
‘And some other people, like me, got engaged… You know what, I think you’re the first person I’ve told. Oops!’
Skin has said that considering her age, she didn’t expect to become a mother , but had helped raise a child in her previous relationship
Skin – who is openly bisexual – previously spoke about the nasty racism, sexism and homophobia she’s faced in her 25 years in the music industry.
Skin previously entered a civil partnership with environmental advocate Christiana Wyly, daughter of Texas billionaire Sam Wyly in 2013, which ended two years later
She said: ‘What I’m most scared of right now is people leaning into their darker sides of nature, we see that in so many ways: we see that in racism, in sexism, homophobia.
‘Right now, I think it’s easy for people to slide into gentle racism because things are difficult for them to understand and unfamiliar. I’m scared of that becoming a normal response to things.
‘In England, we got to a place where we were much more open and much more liberal in life. I feel like in the last few years this has been closing down, and that doesn’t bode well for us and people in my community.
‘The moment Brexit happened, literally the next day the atmosphere just changed and gave power to a certain small percentage of people who don’t like us and people like me.’
