The annual Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes annual Four of July weekend show, Saturday, July 2 at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park has been rescheduled for Sept. 4, Labor Day weekend, “due to the potential for lightning and high winds in the area,” according to the Pony’s social media and Southside’s rep.
Tickets will be honored on the new date.
The Jake Clemons Band was scheduled to open Saturday’s show, and it has not been announced if they’ll also be returning in September. The Southside July 4th weekend show at the Pony did not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID outbreak.

Johnny and the Jukes just released the live album, “Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes: Live In Cleveland ’77,” recorded at the band’s May 2, 1977, show at the Agora Theater there.
Flogging Molly and the Interrupters, Sunday, July 3; and Phil Lesh & Friends on Monday, July 4 at the Pony Summer Stage are still on as scheduled.
