Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) has positioned himself as a firebrand when it comes to exposing the Epstein files, and he now has a chance to prove it’s not just partisan grandstanding.
Following the release of more information on Monday, his fellow party member, Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI), has been further implicated in the scandal. According to multiple emails, she used a pseudonym to solicit funding from Epstein for a “new voter file” that would help her win elections in the Virgin Islands.
Democratic congresswoman Stacey Plaskett (V.I.) beseeched Jeffrey Epstein for help funding a new “voter file” that would allow her to “completely outperform anyone in any race.”
Using the email handle “LeRoy Daughter,” Plaskett pitched Epstein on the idea in an email on May 5, 2017, according to documents released by the Department of Justice. In the pitch, Plaskett asked Epstein to fund a one-year project to “create a new voter file” of Virgin Islands voters.
The goal, according to Plaskett, was to compile data on Virgin Islanders who had voted in recent elections and update their phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses to help Plaskett’s campaign and those of her allies in other races.
“This is the most important group to poll for messaging and later phone banking for support and get to the polls,” wrote Plaskett, adding that the list would help candidates decide what political positions to take and assist “messaging and campaign work.”
That comes after previous revelations that Plaskett was receiving texts from Epstein during a hearing in 2019 and being coached on what questions to ask. She would later defend that as simply listening to one of her constituents, a ridiculous excuse. I don’t know about you, but I don’t get to text my congressional member what to ask during a hearing. Pretending that was a normal arrangement never passed muster, but it’s the timeframe involved that is truly damning.
Epstein was first convicted in 2008 of soliciting a child for prostitution, among other crimes. Plaskett had a full-blown relationship with him, up to and including letting him dictate congressional hearings, long after that. There wasn’t any ambiguity about who Epstein she used the pseudonym to invite him to a fundraiser in New York City. On September 24th, 2018, Plaskett even went so far as to ask the sex trafficker if she could call him a “friend,” to which he replied in the affirmative.
So Khanna has a big opportunity here. He’s previously said he wants to drag those personally connected to Epstein before Congress. Well, Plaskett seems like a prime target, does she not?

How deep did the relationship between Epstein and Plaskett go, and what else did it involve? And why was she giving him so much influence as late as 2019, the same year he was arrested and charged (again) with various sex crimes? The American people deserve answers, and if Khanna isn’t a complete hack, he’ll work to provide them. Will that happen? Don’t hold your breath.
