Superman & Lois star Elizabeth Tulloch has offered an update on the fourth and final season of the popular CW series.
In a Jan. 8 post on X, Tulloch, who portrays Lois Lane, shared the script cover for the first episode of Superman & Lois Season 4, revealing the episode’s title as “The End & The Beginning.” On Jan. 5, she shared a behind-the-scenes shot of Lois Lane’s wardrobe alongside the caption, “Back to work! This is part of Lois’s wardrobe. It’s massive. We have such a terrific costume department.”

In Nov. 2023, it was announced that the upcoming fourth season of Superman & Lois would mark the conclusion of The CW’s DC-inspired television shows. At the time, The CW Network’s President of Entertainment, Brad Schwartz, released a statement, saying, “Over the last three seasons, Superman & Lois redefined both the superhero genre and family drama as Tyler, Elizabeth, and the entire cast effortlessly portrayed these classic characters with new layers of depth and complexity that had never before been explored in the Superman universe.”

“We are grateful for the years of hard work and graceful storytelling from the show’s writers, producers, actors, and crew, as well as our terrific partners at Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions,” Schwartz added. “As Superman embarks on his final flight, the team is leaving us with an absolutely epic 10-episode must-watch-every-minute farewell to one of the most legendary CW families ever.” While Superman & Lois Season 4 doesn’t have an official premiere date yet, it is expected to hit screens sometime in 2024.

The family moves back to Smallville after a tragedy. The series received positive reviews for its fresh take on the Superman character and its emphasis on family dynamics. Although Superman/Clark and Lois appeared in the Arrowverse crossover event, the creators later stated that Superman & Lois exists within its own continuity and is not part of that shared universe. The Arrowverse ended with the series finale of The Flash in 2023.
