Teachers encouraged to attend a transgender conference on ‘bigger d**k energy’ – twitchy.com

OK, here’s another scoop from Christopher Rufo, but we’re going to have to be careful with this one not to set off all of the algorithms meant to detect pornographic material. (It’s the same reason we stopped talking about COVID-19 “fear-porn” in headlines — Facebook can be pretty prudish when it wants to be.) So in order not to be classified as a porn site, we’re going to be skipping over some of Rufo’s tweets; feel free to click on his thread and read the whole thing.

In any case, teachers at the School District of Philadelphia were reportedly encouraged to attend a transgender conference which covered a lot of ground, shall we say:

A lot of people are asking Rufo for proof that the school district “encouraged” teachers to attend this conference. From The City Journal:

In early July 2021, the district’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion sent invitations to the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference to teachers and staff on the SDP Connect mailing list, promoting the conference as a way to “learn more about the issues facing the trans community.” The conference was organized by the Mazzoni Center, an LGBTQ activist organization that has worked with the district on sexual-education programs. (When reached for comment, the School District of Philadelphia described its promotion of the conference as part of its commitment to “creating equitable and inclusive environments,” and said it did “not have any information” on the number of teachers who attended the event. The Mazzoni Center did not return request for comment.)

It’s important to know: if there are three letters that should send up red flags that aren’t CRT, they’re DEI — Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Not surprisingly, our military now how DEI officers in every branch.

There’s so much school districts are willing to do to ensure they create an “inclusive” environment.
