A new clip from the upcoming The Bob’s Burgers Movie hints that Tina may find something new to obsess over, after a lengthy obsession with butts.
Tina Belcher may have found something new to turn her attention to in the upcoming animated film, The Bob’s Burgers Movie.
In an all-new teaser released ahead of the film’s premiere, Louise calls an emergency kid meeting. “Outdoor, before-school emergency kid meeting?” Gene asks. “Is this about whatever’s going on with Tina’s bangs right now? I’ve been wanting to fix them all morning!” Tina is seemingly startled by the comment and paws at her hair. Whether Gene’s observation is a plot thread or a simple one-off joke remains to be seen, but it is safe to say that the otherwise boy-crazy Tina might have something new on her mind.
Created by Loren Bouchard, Bob’s Burgers centers on Bob Belcher as he and his wife, Linda, run their titular family restaurant along with their three children, Tina, Gene and Louise. The television series revolves around the daily lives of the Belchers as they comically try to keep their burger joint from going under, while overcoming the hurdles and obstacles they come across as a family.
A movie based on the show was revealed to be in development in 2017, marking Bouchard’s directorial debut. It will see the Belchers struggling to handle a sinkhole standing in the way of their restaurant’s entrance, chasing away what could have been a very lucrative season as the town is swarmed during the Summer rush. With Bob and Linda trying desperately to keep their business afloat, the Belcher kids come across a tangled mystery whose solution could be the key to saving Bob’s Burgers.
While he has been careful not to reveal names, Bouchard has revealed that The Bob’s Burgers Movie will feature guest stars who have appeared in the television comedy before. “We love our guest stars,” he said. “We have had people come and do the show out of the sheer goodness of their hearts especially when we just early on. They just trusted us and trusted us with their voices and that’s such a pleasure. And I never would pick a favorite. I can’t because we just feel so appreciative to every single one of them who’ve either come for a one time or who have come back.”
Joining this secret guest star list will be the original voice cast from the show, including H. Jon Benjamin as Bob, Dan Mintz as Tina, Eugene Mirman as Gene, John Roberts as Linda, Kristen Schaal as Louise and Larry Murphy as Teddy.
The Bob’s Burgers Movie will debut in theaters on May 27.
