One of Trump’s most loyal female lawmakers is turning on him as jealousy and paranoia floods MAGA world.
Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert issued a rare statement condemning Trump’s veto of an unanimously approved bill that brings more water to rural communities in her home state.
The 39-year-old grandmother suggested Trump’s veto was the result of ‘political retribution’ after Colorado’s governor refused to release a female Trump supporter sent to jail for 2020 election fraud.
‘President Trump decided to veto a completely non-controversial, bipartisan bill that passed both the House and Senate unanimously. Why?’ Boebert wrote in a statement on Tuesday, following the veto.
‘I must have missed the rally where he stood in Colorado and promised to personally derail critical water infrastructure projects. My bad, I thought the campaign was about lowering costs and cutting red tape.’
The Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act, which was approved in the House and Senate unanimously, would have finished construction on a pipeline project seeking to bring clean drinking to dozens of communities in rural Colorado.
Democratic Colorado Senator Michael Bennett claimed Trump’s veto ‘is payback because Colorado won’t bend to his corruption.’
Trump on Wednesday praised former Clerk and Recorder of Mesa County Tina Peters, who was convicted for attempting to overturn the 2020 election and sentenced to nine-years.

Previously, Trump has threatened retribution against the state if the governor did not release her from prison.
Although the president tried to pardon Peters on December 11, she remains in prison because she was convicted on state charges.
In his Wednesday statement, Trump called for Peters to be freed as critics speculated that her case may be behind his reasoning for vetoing the bill.
Boebert last month was pressured by the White House to drop her crusade to push forward the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The congresswoman implied Trump’s veto could be ‘political retaliation’ over her push to release all DOJ documents relating to Epstein.
‘And I sincerely hope this veto has nothing to do with political retaliation for calling out corruption and demanding accountability. Americans deserve leadership that puts people over politics,’ Boebert said.
The Daily Mail reached out to Boebert’s office for comment.
Boebert is the second MAGA female loyalist to publicly condemn the president over his response to Epstein.

Earlier this summer, Marjorie Taylor Greene broke her long-standing alliance with Trump before she later announced her resignation from Congress.
Boebert was summoned to the Situation Room at the White House in November at the height of the battle for the Epstein files on Capitol Hill.
She met with top Trump officials including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel.
