Vice President JD Vance made it crystal clear that there will be no amnesty under President Donald Trump for those who break our laws, saying that enforcing our laws is compassion.
During Vance’s appearance on “The All-In Podcast” on Wednesday, the Vice President talked about the recent concerns by those on the right about amnesty after Trump appeared to suggest showing compassion for illegal immigrants in the agriculture and hospitality industries.
Vice President JD Vance gets pressed on amnesty and his answer is clear: NO. The Trump admin will not compromise on enforcing our immigration laws.
“What the president has said is, number one, we are not going to do amnesty in this country.

The podcast host said it appeared that after the chaos we watched of the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, the administration seemed to find a “middle ground” on the immigration issue and “listened to the other side.”
“The decision maker is, of course, one man, and while he [Trump] listens to everybody, he’s also going to make the decisions that are best for the country,” Vance explained. “And then we go and execute that.”
“What the president has said is, number one, we are not going to do amnesty in this country,” he added. “We actually are not going to tell people who have come into the country illegally that they’re allowed to break our laws and be rewarded for it. We’re just not going to do that.”

Vance went on to explain there’s no compassion when it comes to allowing people to break our laws.
“I do think that we have to make a stronger argument here, there’s nothing discompassionate, or there’s nothing hateful about enforcing our own borders,” the VP said, receiving a round of applause from those in the room.
“Do you facilitate these Mexican drug cartels…. the hundreds of thousands of missing children under [former President] Joe Biden’s administration … when you enforce the nation’s border laws, that is the most compassionate thing to do both for your own people but also for the people who are illegally trafficked.”

As my RedState colleague Bonchie reported, just when Republicans seem to be winning on the immigration issue, some Republicans in Congress recently decided to propose a dumpster fire amnesty Bill.
Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL), Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), and others joined with Democrats to introduce the bipartisan “Dignity Act,” which would essentially legalize every illegal immigrant in the country who entered before 2021. Think DACA, but for every person who has crossed the border illegally.
He added:
So what’s in this dumpster fire proposal? It’s amnesty, plain and simple, and amnesty at a level that has never been suggested before. It makes the old “Gang of Eight” proposal look moderate, all under the guise of empathy and “dignity,” with Salazar claiming it’s also vital for the economy. She’s even taken to using left-wing language about illegal immigrants living “in the shadows.”
The White House has hit back against the idea of Trump supporting amnesty as well. During a recent White House Press Briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about Salazar’s proposal, RedState reported.

“The President has made it very clear he will NOT support amnesty for illegal aliens in any way,” Leavitt said.
The White House Press Secretary also provided a list during the briefing of all the immigration victories under President Trump and his administration’s efforts to try and fix the destruction that former President Joe Biden did to our security with his open border policy.
