One NASA image from the Apollo 17 moon mission in 1972 appears to show three lights arranged in a triangular formation above the lunar terrain

The truth has always been out there. Americans are now closer than ever before to grasping it.

On Friday, the Department of War, acting under President Donald Trump’s direction, released more than 150 government files – many previously classified and some dating back 80 years – revealing information about unidentified flying objects and other unexplained phenomena.

One NASA image from the Apollo 17 moon mission in 1972 appears to show three lights arranged in a triangular formation above the lunar terrain. A transcript of the astronauts’ communications reveals one crew member describing the light as ‘very bright particles or fragments,’ another compared the scene to ‘the Fourth of July’.

It’s only the beginning.

‘The first drop will be big, but in comparison to what is coming they will be a drop in the bucket,’ said Congressman Tim Burchett, one the strongest transparency advocates in the House of Representatives, on Thursday. ‘I would say “holy cr*p” is coming,’ he predicted

My reporting on the subject supports the Congressman’s anticipation. For years, I have covered unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and worked with key figures in the field, like investigative journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp.

The pair were the first to obtain and publish video of a UAP – dubbed the ‘jellyfish’ for its dangling tentacle-like appendages – flying above an overseas US airbase in 2017.

Indeed, something bigger is coming. Earlier this year, I spoke to Tim Phillips, the former acting director of the US government’s UFO office, formally known as the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, or AARO.

Phillips told me that highly qualified observers had reported vehicles with ‘truly astonishing performance capabilities – things [performing in ways] that no known human system could behave.’ His office was ‘able to conclusively prove it wasn’t a known system, either adversary or friendly,’ he added.

In plain English: these were not man-made machines. Though neither Phillips nor the US government are willing to state the obvious.

According to a growing number of former intelligence, military and government officials, including witnesses who have testified under oath before Congress, these occurrences involve a form of intelligence far beyond current human capability – and elements of the US government have been hiding the truth for decades.

Senior officials, including former US Air Force officer and intelligence official David Grusch, a UFO whistleblower, have alleged that elements of the US intelligence community, military and defence industry have been involved in secret UFO crash-retrieval and reverse-engineering programs. There is suspicion that China, Russia and other governments have recovered UFO material of their own.

Sources tell me the US Government has extra-terrestrial bodies held at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the facility once led by Air Force Major General William ‘Neil’ McCasland.

McCasland, 68, vanished from his home on February 27 and is now the subject of an active search involving multiple government agencies.

I have reason to believe that some in the US government are not grudgingly releasing this information. They want it out there. This steady drip of UFO videos and disclosures may be part of a careful campaign to prepare the country for a major reveal with significant implications for national security and the future of the humanity.

In the recent documentary ‘Age of Disclosure’, Luis Elizondo, a senior former intelligence official, claimed that the US is involved in a ‘multidecade, secretive arms race’ with its adversaries. Insiders fear those authoritarian states may be making faster progress than the US, precisely because they can scale secret reverse-engineering programs without democratic oversight, legal friction or compartmentalised bureaucracy.

By contrast, America’s own secrecy may now be holding it back. Its best scientists and engineers are locked out. Meanwhile, small, hidden teams struggle to understand technology they may not be equipped to master alone.

The stakes could not be higher.

From my understanding, the War Department is likely to next release some of the 46 classified UFO videos requested by Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna after officials initially failed to meet her April 14 deadline to provide them.

The videos are said to include spherical, cigar-shaped and ‘Tic Tac’-like objects recorded by US military platforms over war zones, oceans and restricted airspace.

I also hope for more information, also requested by Rep Luna, about the 2023 Lake Huron incident, during which an unidentified object was shot down, at the request of President Joe Biden, by an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile fired from a Minnesota Air National Guard F-16.

The wreckage of the incident was allegedly lost for more than a year before Canadian police reported finding debris that they said belong to a ‘company who sells weather monitoring equipment.’ But these reports have always been received with a mountain of salt by the UFO community – and for good reason.

The material released on Friday is bewildering and, at times, startling, but it’ll likely barely scratch the surface of what’s to come.

That’s why Reps Burchett and Luna and the American public cannot stop pushing. The videos, when released, are expected to be heavily redacted, downsized and compressed to conceal often-classified platforms used to capture them. The public should not settle.

We can handle the truth.
