A smitten Travis Kelce came under fire for fawning over Taylor Swift during Wednesday night’s special episode of New Heights.
The Chiefs tight welcomed his girlfriend on to the hit podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason to discuss their relationship and to unveil the front cover of her 12th album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, which will be released October 3.
Swift briefly broke down in tears as she opened up on her long battle to reclaim her masters. She also lifted the lid on her whirlwind romance with Kelce, her father’s recent heart surgery and her epic Eras Tour.
And the NFL star quickly went viral after showering his girlfriend in compliments and affection. ‘I’m the luckiest man in the world,’ Kelce said repeatedly.
He was also seen holding and stroking Swift’s hand and even kissing her head – much to the anger of some of the 1.3million fans who tuned in for the live stream.
‘New heights!?! more like new lows full of cringe,’ one wrote. ‘New Heights tswift release s*** is so cringey,’ said a second.
‘It’s embarrassing. Travis Kelce is so very cringe,’ a third said. ‘Friendship ended with taylor swift this podcast is so f***ing cringe,’ added a fourth.

‘She blew me away and I had never experienced something so mesmerizing,’ Kelce admitted
Those comments came after Kelce gushed over his girlfriend during the near-two-hour show on Wednesday night.
‘I give the Eras Tour credit (for our relationship) because if I had never gone to that show and been mesmerized and captivated and left with such a desire to want to meet you, I would never have gone on here and told everyone how butt-hurt I was,’ Kelce said. ‘I have never been just so engulfed in the curiosity of who you were.’
Kelce also opened up on their first meeting, telling the 1million-plus fans watching: ‘She makes me so much better… (to) see you on the stage and you see how crazy you can get an entire stadium going and then I get you in a room and it’s like I’ve known you forever.
‘It was the easiest conversation I ever had and it was just so much fun that it just knocked my socks off. She blew me away and I had never experienced something so mesmerizing on stage and then so real and so beautiful in person.’
Kelce’s comments prompted his brother Jason to joke: ‘Should I leave?’
Earlier in the show, Swift fought back tears as she opened up on years-long crusade to reclaim the masters of her music, prompting Kelce to kiss his girlfriend on the head.
Swift explained how Kelce was playing video games when she found out she had got the rights back. The NFL star began weeping when he was told. Swift had sent her mother and brother to Los Angeles to negotiate with Shamrock Capital, the owners, on her behalf.
‘I haven’t gotten my hopes up about this in a decade. A couple months after the Super Bowl I was in Kansas City,’ Swift said, adding she had been saving to buy her masters since she was a teenager.
‘I get a call from my mom. She’s like, “You got your music.” I very dramatically hit the floor for real. Bawling my eyes out, weeping, like “Really?” I said to myself “Go tell Travis in a normal way.”
‘He was playing video games, and he put his headset down. I was like “I got my music back!” And I was heaving crying. This changed my life.’
