Trump drops bombshell hint on Iran peace talks as negotiations enter critical 48 hours

Donald Trump announced talks between the US and Iran could restart in the next 48 after negotiations led by JD Vance fell last weekend.

The President told the New York Post additional peace talks with Iran could take place by Thursday in Pakistan to end the seven-week war.

‘You should stay there, really, because something could be happening over the next two days, and we’re more inclined to go there,’ Trump said on Tuesday.

‘It’s more likely, you know why? Because the field marshal is doing a great job.’

Trump’s praise went to Pakistani Field Marshal General Asim Munir who has played a central role in mediating US-Iran peace talks.

‘He’s fantastic, and therefore it’s more likely that we go back there,’ Trump continued. ‘Why should we go to some country that has nothing to do with it?’
