Adding another layer, the president discussed his vision for regime change in Iran, saying he wants to have a say in who succeeds Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. While he hasn’t revealed a specific pick, he confirmed his administration is “watching” potential candidates to ensure their safety amid the escalating tensions. Outside of Iran, exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi has put himself forward as an option for interim leadership, praising the U.S.’s involvement and even jokingly echoing the former president’s famous slogan: “You know, the president says, ‘MAGA,’ we say, ‘MIGA,’ Make Iran Great Again.”
