IN FULL

A U.S. Secret Service (USSS) agent has been suspended and may soon be fired after mocking the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on September 10. Pough had blamed “karma” for Kirk’s murder saying, “[I]f you are Mourning this guy .. [sic] delete me. He spewed hatred and racism on his show.”

Pough added, “At the end of the day, you answer to GOD and speak things into existence. You can only circumvent karma, she doesn’t leave.”

He also had a history of opposing Trump administration initiatives, including the ban on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, saying, “DEI stops NEPOTISM.”

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination at Utah Valley University, several public figures have faced backlash for comments accused of mocking or minimizing his death. A video emerged showing Representative Ilhan Omar (D‑MN) and former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan laughing as they criticized Kirk’s past statements immediately following his killing.

Meanwhile, MSNBC terminated political analyst Matthew Dowd after he appeared to suggest that Kirk had, through his political style and rhetoric, invited “hateful action” against himself. Dowd later apologized, stating he never intended to imply Kirk was to blame for his murder.

The Pentagon has issued a “zero tolerance” directive for military personnel and Department of War civilians, warning that any celebration or mockery of Kirk’s assassination is strictly forbidden.
