Trump to Visit East Palestine, Ohio Next Week – RedState

Rumors started swirling on Friday evening that former president and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had plans to visit the site of the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment.

People close to Trump, like personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and Trump 2016 presidential campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, wrote tweets over the past 24 hours, hinting that he was heading that way.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, who is also an ally of Trump, wrote:

But there’s a difference between rumored plans and actual plans. Now, Donald Trump has confirmed that it’s official in a new press release:

It reads:

Biden and FEMA said they would not be sending federal aid to East Palestine. As soon as I announced that I’m going, he announced a team will go. Hopefully he will also be there. This is good news because we got them to “move.” The people of East Palestine need help. I’ll see you on Wednesday!

Let’s leave aside for now the speculation by the former president on the timing of the federal funds for East Palestine residents.

That said, anytime there’s a reaction like this from Meghan McCain, you can be assured you’re on the right track:
